Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Phoenix Wright, Rocket Raccoon and Nova preview

damnit... i was so excited to finally see this game dissected by a high level player in training mode..

But then stupid Ernie Moreno wasted about 80% of those precious 18 minutes asking about stupid crap that everyone knows already.

When these media outlets get a preview copy they should do the following:
1) Find a good player (like Killer Kai)
2) Let that player mess with the game by themselves for two to three hours beforehand (not 10 F'ing minutes)
3) Make a video of that player showing all the nastiest combos and setups they found so far with the new characters.

The only person who is kinda doing that is Maximillian. But he only shows 2 combos per character per Assist Me video.

spoiler alert: not everyone pays attention to every single detail about the game. There's a lot of people who frequent gamespot who aren't as hardcore about fighting games as us but are interested in picking up the game.

This video wasn't made for the people who visit eventhubs frequently.

A HEADS UP GUYS

I may have jumped the gun with the super jump trajectory thing. You could influence the trajectory in Vanilla MvC3. HOWEVER, it felt more sensitive in UMVC3. It may be character specific or a placebo effect but until i can confirm with both games side by side, write it off as me being scrubby. I talked to the guys at G4 afterwards so that part might or might not be cut out in a bit. Until then, everything else is pretty much spot on. Hope you guys enjoyed!

Damn, I like being told what inputs the moves are for. For example that air dash with RR was medium. Just getting anxious is all. But yeah, guess we will have to wait for Max on specifics regarding the new characters.

I think I was right about the whole Rocket Raccoon's combos not being SUPER flexible thing. Still looks really good, but I don't think he's gonna be a combo monster.

I think the laughing man wasn't really into MVC3 hardcore casual player but I think UMVC3 just really excited him to watch... Nothing wrong with that but yea he was kinda meth like lol
