dam i cant wait to use the crap out of this lol before it gets patched that is.
....yeah remind me to stay off MvC3 until they patch this lmfao
Step 1: Make a video exploiting MvC3
Step 2: Capcom Secretly takes note.
Step 3: 2 weeks later a patch is released to remedy the video in Step 1
Step 4: Capcom looks like a genius for finding that glitch
Step 5: The original uploader feels cheated for doing Capcom's job for them.
Here's an idea!
As long as Capcom is stealing credit for these patches,
People should be able to use Capcom's games on streams for free.
MVC3 is really dope, every day someone find a new glitch or infinite....
@#14
hold down/forward and tap C(hard attack)x2 quickly as far as i know
i say the best they can do to mess with it is to allow the hit stun scaling on it to react different kinda like they did with akumas hurricane kick infinite. changing the start up or anything would mess with the creativity that people put into dante combos. Seeing how the dude was able to do the infinite using turbo, it just mainly gonna affect online players mashing with dante. the infinite gives the other player almost the same amount of meter at the same time os it can backfire pretty quick.
And with DHC glitch teams running around with TOD combos, this low damage infinite would be a good time staller at best. Wonder how much time you can stalling on reg phoenix abusing this without killing her.
@18 They just decreased the minimum hit stun on Tatsu, doing that to guns could mean the S wouldn't combo after, and whenever you do guns in combos as an otg you have plenty of time to do them, so I imagine a few frames slower startup could break the infinite and not alter any combos.
@#20
you mean S as trying to do a normal launcher after or the S follow up(spinning sword mess which allows you to continue combos). And if you are talking about the follow up its looks like it cancels out of the guns so i dont see why it would make it drop if the two was intended to work that way.
I dunno what if anything they would do about it, i just think its a bit dirty to bother messing with start up frames and what not just because some person found a infinite. And tweaking the hitstun mechanics on things seems to be the more approachable way so that it doesnt affect the people that werent trying to abuse simple loops in the first place. I still see folks doing like 2-3 hurricane kicks in one combo before start to go into an air combo same for capn america shield slashes being used a few times in combos just the looping is gone for the few abusers out there.
since downward guns is cancelled into prop shredder most of the time.. what about tweaking the recovery frames instead?
It really wouldnt be that hard without turbo just make one of the 2 left over buttons a H button and boom u can use two fingers. but i dont have a problem with infinites. there were tons in MvC2 that never got patched and was one of the most broken games ive ever seen but people loved it for 10 years. let the game ride for a while and see how it goes
Thats why y'all love this game....One of the best characters in the game that has the MOST special moves has the easiest executable INFINITE!
Sometimes I think there's a nob cheap way to use all the characters to than putting in effort with the same character.
dat infinite
That's some justifiable ragequit material right there...

People didn't "like" infinites in MvC2. It turned a lot of people away from the game. It was only accepted at high level play because doing whatever it takes to win isn't frowned upon in competition. In the end the only characters used in tournaments were the ones capable of infinites or otherwise devastating combos.
@ 17... no need for changing hitstun. capcom will just allow the opponent to reset. similar to how when certain characters (deadpool)groundpound the opponent, and then OTGs don't pop them up, and they just stand or w/e... there's plenty of resets that simply cancel out infinites. people need to stop complaining and saying the game is so broken. sure, there's infinties and crazy combos... but AE isn't going to magically be SUPER fair. there will still be things that don't make sense (see Vega) and there will still be a ton of cheap things in any game. i know MvC3 isn't perfect or anything (damn taskmaster projectile damage is still absurd) but that's no reason to "go all in" and bash the hell out of the game.
lol i'ma try this tonight!!! this does look like it needs to be patched though. what an easy infinite lol
and mvc2 infinites? are u kidding? The only guy CLOSE to having an ACTUAL infinite that can kill a full character is ironman, and even then, you needed to super into DHC for the kill. after about 40 hits or so, everyone i mean EVERYONE bounces out
and the guys with other infinites are really hard to use... and ineffective.
Not a big deal at all...they should switch that comment from several characters to "few". It seems that it works on oddly shaped characters, (ammy, viewtiful joe, shuma) and the other three shown in that vid...everyone else i checked it with, no go. Also some of the "setups" are character specific...for shuma u can only start it with air s, grapple will not do it..
Also ill note that with xfactor it seems possible to do it on other chars...level 1 and 2 can loop capn, but 3 wouldnt..
dante is just overall broken capcom have a limited range of decent characters to use in the series so when they do get a decent one like dante they think "hey lets put every possible move dante has ever done into his character... what could go wrong." answer: Everything
Unstoppable!
