I think Daigo is playing mind games with us. He says we had a "10 year head start." in MvC games so basically if we body Daigo in MvC3 then it's like 'Oh well we had a 10 year head start.' however if we get bodied by Daigo, THEN it's like 'but we had a 10 year start.' Daigo is a slick sob.

I feel like what ono said he wanted to do and have S tier characters intentionally put in AE really hurts the game and will hurt the audience, who championed SSF4 for its balance.
I'm also one of those "purest" and main Guy no matter how good or bad charts say he is, that won't change in AE, but that should stop you from learning others.
I've used yang since you pressed all three kicks to pixk him in vanilla sf3 and I will learn him in AE. all in all though as far as characters go I don't want to see the same ones fighting each other 50 matches straight at evo, unpredictable top 8s are entertaining top 8s.

i don't think Daigo said he is going to win mvc3 at evo. I think he said something like it will be a good challenge or something like that.

MvC2 and MvC3 are the same games. Hmm that's a comment. Not a good one but a comment nonetheless.
Just like SF2, SFA, SF3 and SF4 are the same.
Srsly thats like saying that we all can go play MvC2 right now and pick the characters that are in both games (Hulk, Spiderman, Ryu for ex) and do the exact same things, because we have been doing what's in MvC3 for a decade.

That commercial was a little too gay for my taste. idk. Im not a Daigo d%$k rider but you gotta respect his skill in any fighting game. Top tier doesnt matter that much. Sagat was the top for vanilla and Daigo won vanilla Evo with ryu. Top tier in super? Bison, Honda, Guile? Daigo won super Evo with ryu. Im no expert but pretty much every move in fighting games has a counter. I would hate to see Yun take over like in third strike and we end up watching ten Yuns in the finals. I think people give up too easy just for the sake of winning.

lol Mike always had to work with honda, if he didnt im sure he would have plenty of first place tournament wins under his belt. And even outside mike, we would see more hondas in general taking first place. But i cant recall the last time ive seen a honda in grand finals from anyone.
Also honda supposed greatness in ssf4 is mainly due to many of the underused characters having innate weaknesses in general that works against them as in many other match ups. Other than that seems like hondas struggle against alot of the more used characters or breaks even with them. Sad to see honda players get blown up when they have no meter and zoned out when they do.
Figure honda and zangief are in the same boat, alot of power behind them but rarely get the opening to abuse the power. Now for honda to get nerfed in many departments in AE would make him undesirable to use when the RESULTS(screw tier listing) werent looking to hot in ssf4 in the first place.
All that matter in the end is who is taking home the gold consistently. And i cant recall the last time ive seen honda place #1 in any major american,japanese or european ones.

And even outside mike, we would see more hondas in general taking first place. I don't think Honda will win, his weakness to zoning is huge. I have no doubt that Honda can destroy other grapplers and rush down characters, he has the health and tools to do so.
But he loses to Ryu, Sagat, Guile, and Deejay horribly. One or two of their moves can shut down a lot of his options. The fact that Sagat got buffed and is popular in AE pretty much means Honda would struggle to make it into top 16.
I'm beginning to think Gief lost knockdown with exhand because it could destroy the twins...I really hope my thought on that is wrong. lol
MvC is too unpredictable, anybody can get bodied. SF is slower and more calculating, like chess.

The point is that Daigo never said that he was going to kick America's ass but the American players specially Mike Ross are so bored of losing against him and against Japan that are now salty because of the video and their own interpretation of the video...
Daigo just want to have a good "challenge" even if he wins or lose and that should be the point in the tournaments...
People need to remember that games are for fun and to enjoy but thanks to all this "unemployed pro gamers and lifeless" we get this kind of response. The funny thing is that Daigo is one of them xD.
America has nothing to worry about in Marvel or AE just they have a lot of good players like Justin, PR Balrog, Marn. People just like to get salty xD
