You can pre-order the PC release of Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition on Steam and Direct2Drive now. Steam's list price is $39.99, but you can get 10% off if you picked up vanilla, or further discounts can be had if you buy it in a four-pack, which would mark it down to about $29.99 a copy. Direct2Drive's list price is $35.95.Just a word of warning, due to some retarded Microsoft policy the game is currently unavailable on Steam for countries where GFWL is not supported (basically 66% of the civilized world). If you wanted the game on that platform you're gonna have to move or have someone gift it to you.
D2D seems to work fine though. But if you want to have the game on your Steam library or you want to get a 4-pack you're out of luck for now.
As far as new character's go it's meh for me I am not holding me breath and I could care less. but what gets me is that the DLC is going to be a lot cheaper then the Disc. I am assuming there has to be something more on the disc, other wise it would not seem smart to pay more for the disc.
I wish there were two more characters but knowing capcom they love to just add two twins and another shoto and call it a game, i think I've seen enough of the shotos since the release of vanilla. it would be great for the 6 characters they said all the back in the day. maybe they'll just have 2 more characters for dlc or something corny like that.

Capcom said they were doing something to address that problem, but they didn't say what. It was on Capcom-Unity and it was in reply to someone suggesting the limit frame rate was on fixed by default, or you could filter out variable people, or something like that.
well this disc will cost more just for the fact that you have packaging and advertisements cost to compensate. So obviously the digital download will be less, but i guess E3 will be the big determinating factor on if the there will be any extra content or not. My advise don't hold your breath Capcom forgot bout sf4 right after captive so street fighterXTekken is where all the resources are alocated now, but heres to wishfull thinking right.
Here is hoping Valve makes promos for SSF4 for TF2 lol.
Thanks for the credits.
Btw I live in Argentina and SSFIV AE isnt avaible on Steam yet.
anyone from the UK you can get the disk copy for the PC for £17.86 from shopto.net
@7, ihira
congrats you can play it, you want a trophy or something? but #3 was talking about EVERYONE ELSE. I used to play exclusively PC until I got an xbox but my biggest gripe as well is the fact that there is no way to filter out the OPPONENTS who are running the game at settings that their specs cant handle.
even if you can run 60 fps, if the opponent has a terrible computer or is running in settings too high for their computer, the pc edition pretty much leveled it out by giving you their frames per second as well.
WAIT! What am i seeing?
Is EUROPE getting something before USA?
woooow...
I wonder if I can buy it on Direct2Drive and activate the cd key they give me (if they do give one) on steam. If that's the case then that's what I'm doing!
"For those keeping score at home, the console DLC date is June 7, and it will go for $14.99 USD or 1,200 Microsoft Points. A disc release will follow on June 24 for Europe, 28th in North America, 30th in Japan."
Even though I got SSFIV a week before release, the best part of this is, no one will be playing it early because it's DLC :)
I got a Feeling that the Disc is going to have 2 extra characters on it, and for the DLC people we are going to have to pay $10 for each character when the disc is released
