viewer count are misleading because of people just open the browser and don't watch it or wait for their game(s) to show up.
if mvc3, mk9, and SSF4:AE final run on different stream and at the same time, now that's another story.
also, i think whatever game that evo decided to show last will have the highest viewers because will just want to watch it until the end and it's very late and they probably have nothing better to do. whatever games that show in the morning will have very low viewers.
The first part of the video was a big STFU! to people bitching about Japan having a bit of an advantage by getting the games release first.
I always wonder if Daigo ever intended to played MVC3, now I got my answer. On this side of the field, I can say Justin is too strong, he is so good at the game that he literally trolls on tournaments. It'll be very interesting to see how Japan players do against Justin Wong.

It takes a hell of a lot to get on Justin Wong/Combofiend/Viscant/Clockwork/Yipes/Sanford/etc's level. I'm sure Daigo will be good enough to beat other new but good fighting game people at Marvel, but I really don't think he has a shot at any of the VS gods.
Last year at Evo (or maybe 09) there was a Japanese team that specifically attended for Marvel, and all of them got eliminated before even top 8. Granted it's harder to get into Marvel 2 at just an average level but at least it is an arcade game and it had been out for a while.
Damn somehow the parts where Daigo is talking is kinda creepy. Still he's talking a big game & we all know he can bring it.

Marvel 2 experience means almost nothing in marvel 3. Anyone who believes Daigo won't make at least top 16, is out of their mind. He was a top Guilty Gear and Vampire Savior player, both very fast games with marvel style fundamentals. Also, a lot of Japans top anime game players are playing Mvc3 along with players like Nemo, Tokido, Frieda, etc so he's going to have the match experience too.
I doubt that Daigo will win, but I expect him to do well. Learning Mvc3 is not hard and Daigo has possibly the best fighting game basics out there. Blocking, mindgames, ability to read people and so on all transfer between fighting games.

if you look at how many new players have come into the scene through MVC3 and who are slaying the gods of mvc2 it pretty much means that Daigo has a good chance of doing well IMO. I dont think he'll win but I'm gonna hold back on what he'll do because lets face it God is daigo tier so u never know what tricks he's got up his sleeves. Oh and if sim wins AE i'm gonna cry. PEACE

Daigo has the most bp with a high win ratio in ae. Not to mention he's using top tier Yun. I think there's very few people who would doubt he will take sf again this year. But with marvel he's finally seen as the underdog and a lot of people wants to see how a top player like him will perform. This video was to create hype and it seems to be working.
i don't think Daigo or a Japanese player is going to win mvc3, but we have to step it up. Mvc3 is a random game. Like J wong lost to Noel(assume J wong is not lying) Anything can happen. it looks like J wong is play MK9 now. If any Japanese player get top 3 at evo, you guy will get troll hard.
If anything Madcatz or Evo themselves ask him to make this kind of video to get ppl mad hype, which works. It doesn't fit his usual personality, but it's pretty cool.

I hope you know that that level of play in the video isn't on US' level at all. Just because you can trijump with Magneto doesn't make you suddenly one of the best. None of their setups followed through well, they didn't use many actually very confusing resets, they dropped combos. Not even the character execution is as good.

This reeks of madcatz's marketing execs, but to be honest with you, I really don't care. It's bloody awesome! WWE style trash talking, rivalries and the like don't detract from the skill these players have and they simply add another element of fun to the matches. I'm all for it! BRING ON THE PEOPLE'S ELBOWS.

All the MvC2 players were saying that MvC3 is a completely different game, so I'm not so sure if the 20 years of experience with MvC2 will translate in a headstart in Mvc3. It will be interesting to see, to say the least, how well he performs against guys like Clockwork, Floe and Viscant. All I can say is that I am stoked for EVO '11!

No. Only about 50% of the top Mvc3 players were known for Mvc2. Floe, Marn, Chris G, Nerdjosh, Richard N and so on. All top players who weren't known for Mvc2. There are of course a lot of Mvc2 players who are top in 3, but there are also a lot who are trash at Mvc3.
Mvc3 is not hard to learn. Players who have played at least 1 fast fighting game don't/shouldn't have a hard time in Mvc3 (hence tons of anime game players doing great in Mvc3). Basically, unless someone's only game is SF4, then Mvc3 isn't hard to learn.
That video was godlike. But damn, all it's going to do now is bring a lot of racist crap to Evo from all the ghetto members of the fighting game community, which makes up 90% of it all.
