Company vice president, Christian Svensson, has proposed a Capcom vs. Capcom game several times in the past, he recently stated on the Unity Boards. This could potentially feature characters from across Capcom's library of titles, encompassing some people who haven't yet appeared in a Vs. series game. I'm a fighting game fan who was personally disappointed with the character selection in Marvel vs Capcom 3. [...] Capcom should make a crossover game featuring characters from many of its' popular franchises Mega Man, Street Fighter, Final Fight, Darkstalkers, Red Earth, etc. Being Capcom only would in no way affect the quality of character selection. What we get out of the deal is an MvC style fighting game featuring all of our favorite Capcom characters from the Marvel vs Capcom series, and many characters who have never made it in. — Christopher
Svensson: I have proposed it myself several times in the past (but the name I'd used was Capcom VS. Capcom to keep the VS. brand association). That said, there's nothing going on with that right now but you never know what the future holds.

Capcom vs. Capcom, isn't that what Capcom Fighting Evolution/Capcom Fighting Jam basically was? I'd like to see that happen again seeing as CFE/CFJ was pretty much a flop from what I've read.
Me and my friends had this idea quite often. The Vs Series 'engine' is fun enough to go on without a crossover roster. I always thought it was too silly to present in a forum or anything - you know how the community gets over "ideas".
But I'm glad somebody in the offices also had this idea.

I know, I was just mentioning that something similar had already happened -albeit without the Vs. playstyle as you mentioned-. I should've probably been more specific in my post, my bad.
Marvel vs marvel would just be wolverine spiderman hulk thor iron man and captain america. Those guys are so over used.
I don't see nothing wrong with Capcom vs. Capcom except that if they can do that they can just expand from MvC3 and just add more Capcom characters to that roster and call it Super MvC3. The only advantage would be that Capcom would'nt have to worry about going through any legal tape just to get a character in their own game which would save them time and money, thats about the only good thing about CvC if it were to happen.
@20 It's your prerogative 50Sent but not everyone likes the Marvel teams either. Having a CvC game would allow fighting game fans to actually get characters that had a hard time getting in MvC3 like Megaman (whoever).

So They made Capcom Fighting jam/Capcom fighting evolution which sucks that they take characters from their prevouis games to make it boring. that wasn't changed. Escept that only Ingrid was the only 1 that was from all stars came into fighting evolution

"Capcom Versus" was exactly what I had in mind as well.
I agree with this kind of mashup, we could see all our favorite Capcom icons go at it. I'm playing thru Namco x Capcom right now, and just to see all the different characters that pop up left and right makes it a great experience for me.
If they incorporated all kinds of titles, such as SF, Dino Crisis, Forgotten Worlds, Lost Planet, MegaMan, Red Earth, Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Darkstalkers, and Strider, we could see one amazing game and you'll see everyone picking up a unique and diverse game.
Capcom Vs Capcom was already my dream. And just a coincidence but me and Sven share the same title for that dream game. I've always pictured Capcom Vs. Capcom having about 50 characters with top guys like Mega Man X, Dante, Vergil, Gene etc. It would've been awsome. We could even have 4 reps from Mega Man. Them being X, Protoman, Bass.EXE and Roll Casket/Tron Bonne. Or maybe even 8 reps from Mega Man, 8 reps from SF, 8 from DS, and the rest mixed up from other series.
MOst of Capcom's MvC3 choices were good save for, Morrigan, HsienKo, Arthur, which nobody can do anything with. Marvel's usless ones seem to be MODOK and SpiderMan but those have potential.

You are gravely mistakes to say no one can do anything with Morrigan, Hsien-Ko and Arthur. Hell, even the same goes for MODOK.
Just because they aren't the most popular of the MvC3 roster, or they aren't picked as often (if at all) at tournaments, does NOT mean they are "useless" in any sense.
Sorry for double post, but my main argument is that I personally use Morrigan, and a good friend of mine can really throw down with Arthur. Did you catch the MODOK players video posted a while back?
Point is, there is possibly no "worst" character in the game, largely due to how the game was made, so to say "No one can do anything with X character" is very hard to believe for me. If anyone puts enough effort to learn the ropes with anyone in the roster, they can be difficult to beat.
I take it the kid who wrote that is another crybaby upset about the lack of Gambit, Venom, Mega Man, Strider & Frank West who won't just get over it.
Just give me MvC3 DLC already Capcom. Or a Super Edition. As much as the latter would piss me off, I don't care anymore. I just want everyone who keeps crying about MvC3 to SHUT UP!
