Wesker is a example of an obnoxious character in this game. I don't see how he's highly requested seeing how cheap he is regardless of player skill. DHC glitch, best OTG in the game, and has the most annoying teleport mechanic ever. Just my opinion though.
Just a flawed character design like Dante. Overpowered at high levels of play and has enough tools and ambigious moves for inexperienced players to random you out. Easily the best character now that Sent got nerfed.

Exactly the reason why I watched this vid to give me a clear insight on what Wesker players are attempting to do. Definitely a helpful series.

Wesker isn't any more annoying than half the cast, he's just a very common popular character.
to defend tokyobassist tho ..wesker users that ive played online...(because i have no local scene in greensburg,pa) use cheap tactics to get the win....... assist gunfire teleport......rinse and repeat....its not really hard to beat him like that but its still harder than most to get around....and dante got like 45 moves anyone that defends his bit*ha*s is trippin....easily second most OP char in game
#3 He's not overpowered at all, yes he has a lot of things going for him and adds instant synergy but he's hardly overpowered then again that term is overly used by people who are shook ones.
#12 Once again another use of op for no reason all I have to say it learn the match-up Dante and Wesker have a lot of tools but they also have a life bar that can be diminished just so happens it's not diminished by complaints.
#4 One of my big problems with answers like these is that there is more videos on how to "play" a character rather than how to defeat. If these pros could stream line ways to actually fight againts these cahracters just as good as they can stream line how to play as them, I think there would be less complaints.
One of the things i like about SSFIV is that no matter how strong a character is they all have a clear and unique weakness to exploit outside of low vitility which I think is a lame and easy handicap design IMHO.
Im not talking about balance or changes but I just wish players focused more on making videos that labels all the characters weaknesses as well as stengths and how players can capitalize on it. Then I could agree with your answer on "learning the match-ups." Just real talk here.

In the old days there were no videos on how to play a game, let alone defeat a certain character. All you gotta do to learn a match up is practice practice practice. Know your and your opponents strengths and weaknesses
#18 Sadly I'm one of those stuck with PSN, or lack thereof. Listen whether you're Grand Master on 360 or not is not the point my point is people like to spout every other character is op when in reality clearly no character (not even D.Phoenix whom I hate with a passion and she is clearly the closest thing to something truly OP in this game) is so unbeatable that it warrants a complaint at the mere mention. I understand frustration etc... My point is call Wesker cheap, stupid, easy mode etc overpowered I don't think so.
my point is its an opinion.......i think dante has to many moves whether i can beat him or not... cuz thats not the complaint.....i never said i think he OP cuz i cant beat him... he has way more tools than any other character.....its a fact.... its my opinion that hes OP and your are entitled to disagree... wesker is annoying not OP...never said that about him...but once again i can, have and will continue to win and lose against both those characters ...but in my opinion phoenix totally Op and Dante Far behind in second....pheonix i have a problem with ..but it might just be my choice of characters to use so i dont say much bout her
