This sucks. Every single person he fought was a scrub. And his Dan seemed pretty scrubby too. He never even dashed out of his level three focus attacks, (which barely ever hit anyone who knows what they're doing) and just mashed his inputs out of the focus. Boo.

Y'know, I actually tried posting this video on the eventhubs forums just after I made it, but I don't think anyone saw. Lol.
Just to clarify, I didn't play like a scrub deliberately... I AM a scrub. I make no odds about it, I'm a casual player and I don't have the combo dexterity or timing to really contend with anyone above a B rank. This video isn't really intended as a skills showcase, I'm not trying to show that I outclassed anyone as Dan.
It's also not true that the people I played against were scrubs or easy targets for me. It was all ranked battles. I wasn't picking on newbies or anything, I was... just playing Street Fighter against whoever I got matched up with. All the taunting and showboating was just because I was Dan, and that's what a Dan should do!
I just want to say that nobody should feel threatened by this video, it's not a false statement of how awesome I am as a player, it's a statement of how awesome Dan is as a character to play as. I'm really flattered you all like it, and I'm also happy that the lion's share of people I played with online sent me messages saying good game or giving me kudos for playing as Dan.
This community is awesome, and being on the front page of Eventhubs and Halolz where other street fighter fans will see it is just a huge honour for me. Thanks!

You guys forget about the Dan factor, the oponnent can't think properly as all that passes to his mind is "I can't lose to Dan, I can't lose to Dan..."

Some people just like to sound so serious because it makes them feel like they are better than they really are and they probably can't make it on the front page with their current skill where as you have a guy like this who puts up a video for fun get's attention immediatly.

Also, fully agree with #43. I love to play on a competitive level but even I know when something is made for fun. With all the serious stuff out there this type of vid is a great escape from all the hardcore gameplay.

Great video. I really enjoyed it. And as a video producer myself, I could tell the true intentions of the video.
As for Dan himself and to anyone who thinks Dan sucks. The whole Dan factor is just a state of mind people let them get themselves into. Dan is very under rated, to be honest people have so much trouble playing him because the they probably lack patience. Once he is in his 50/50 mixups are amazing, unless you play a masher then he can be very dangerous once in close, but then you just bait that stuff. However I'm not saying dan is higher than where he should be. his match-ups could always go between 4-6, 5-5 depending on what type of dan player, and who he's playing vs. The one thing people forget at tournaments when they get "blown up" is the fact only 2 matches were played. that's only 2 of the wins out of the 4 possible wins he could get if you took tier lists to heart. So it's always possible for a low tier character to do well until Grand finals. Look what happened in Canada, Air turned it around after getting beat by Dan.

Video games are made for fun, I liked this video. This isn't tournament level play, so there's no need for it to be serious.
I've got whipped by a really good Dan on my friends list. No matter how I lose to Dan, I never hate the character. He's just too awesome, lol.
LOL dan does suck. His gimmick is his meta game. messing with peoples head. get out of here with grand finals bs. Show me a tournament dan who plays and wins a tournament from the beginning without switching out of dan. Or let alone even get to grand finals
most videos with dan in a tournament is usually someone picking him after they place high.
I lol when i see someone try comment on a mid lower tier placing high in a tournament without realizing the player was using another character all tourney. That's why tiers exist because they show how viable they truly are compared to the cast, which is why you wont go far if your not A or higher tier in this game unless you have a backup character.

I know your comment was towards me, and you need to read what I wrote again. Dan COULD work in a tournament because up until grand finals you only play someone 2 matches. In finals you play way more matches, and if you have to play someone in winners, then go back to grand finals thats even more matches you have to play him. My point was... dan could work in a tournament if you play different people the whole way up there. Once he is in he can do standing or crouching normal into dan kicks, then if you try to tech, he can SRK you into fadc ultra. Rinse repeat. Though there are a few match ups aka grapplers he can't really do that vs. Dan is bad if you are doing a race to ten, he isn't in a best of 3.

people need to remember that Dan is a character too after all. hes not at all useless. its people like you who make other people feel like they need to use the best to win. that's completely false. with the right attitude Dan can be a strong char, as can any other character in any other fighting game. besides if your so intact on Teir-Lists you'd know that Dan places above T.Hawk and Hakan, so...

i dont know if your the same guy i fought on PSN (Dudley and Rog), but your absolutely wrong. teir-lists are made for chumps and teir whores. they do not determine the outcome of a tournament or any fight for that matter. which is why every year at various tournies like Evo and SOB, you'll see low-teirs placing highly. and SSF4 being the most balanced SF yet, im sure it wasnt just luck or people not knowing the match-up.

I love the super ironic throw/sweep punishes from Dan. That's how you play Dan son. Videos with massive Dan FADC combos are cool too but this was good enough. Plus it's not trolling with Dan if you play him like a pro!
Mostly though, this was good because the editing was great, really made the footage go to the song. You can see the effort. Great job.
