PSN update: Won't be back up for 'at least a few more days'

A short but sweet update about on the status of the PlayStation Network was posted today on the official blog. It reads:

I know you all want to know exactly when the services will be restored. At this time, I can’t give you an exact date, as it will likely be at least a few more days. We’re terribly sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work through this process.

Major disappoint. All I can say is that I'll keep practicing in MK9 until it comes back. When it does, I'll be ready to rock.

Glad to see the SF community being patient and occupied unlike the CoD crack addicts threatening to sell their PS3...pff...LIKE I GIVE A DAMN.

At least us patient types don't have to rebuild our collection from scratch.

since it's 'AT LEAST a few more days', it might take another week or two. it's okay for me. i'm recording alot of marvel combos ^^.
but hey, where are the 'you get what you pay for' and 'i'll sell my ps3' comments..?

Well even though I have an XBOX, I am not gonna start talkin' sh-- about the PS3. I mean I'm glad that most people are patient about this. I hope Sony gets PSN up and running again.

I swear, hackers ruin it for everybody...

I hope a few days actually means a few days now. Oh well, I've spent enough time in the lab with MVC3 and SSF4, guess I'll move on to Sonic Sega Allstars Racing and FFXIII :D

I'm really proud of the "non flamming" going on in here. Very nice.

This is a tough time for games on psn. I just play arcade over and over, then to the training room for combo practice.

Already got Ssf4 platinum last year, so I have no trials to play with. :)

apparently u guys havent been keeping up with sony so let me update u ps3 fans....sony reps are saying that psn wont be back up until the end of may (may 31st) to be specific.....sry lol

I honestly don't know why you guys want to get back on PSN for. Considering the security leaks I would hate for my information to get stolen again even if they promis better security.

I had wanted to get a PS3 again since I had one again (Hell they probably got my old info). BUt after seeing this im a bit wary of doing so.

Im not a Sony hater I love the PS3 but im concerned Sony is not doing enough to protect it's consumers.

I'm enjoying the forced 'downtime'. My gaming time is now more varied again; I've completed story mode in MK9, getting further along in GoW, completed all the offline AC:B and if it keeps going it may give me time to finally go back and finish inFamous. I'm also taking the time to train my partner to play fighting games. It's really revealed to me just how much time is lost online.

hopefully this will be the last major problem sony has to deal with. Atleast bring back online. I can wait another month or two for the ps store or whatever else. IL buy AE on disc for ps and 360. Just wanna see how mk9 and brink is on ps3. Hopefully they'll have better online play and security measurements. Make it better, but please speed it up.

still offline games can be boring without friends or other people playing. gow3, gow ghost of sparta, and sly cooper collection is still fun in my opinion.

Just don't put personal info online it's simple as that. Get a psn card from gamestop or any retailer that sells them if you plan on buying online content. I will still be playing by ps3 this isn't a big deal I have a life outside videogames.

I don't know about anyone else, but PSN being down has made video games more fun for me. Don't get me wrong I love playing online, but as of right now I'm forced to go over to friend's houses in order to play with them. It reminds me of growing up in the 90s playing Street Fighter II on the SNES/Genesis. As a matter of fact I pulled both of those consoles out of my closet because of this dilemma and have been having fun playing SoR2 and Battletoads and all the other classics. If you really want to play with people so badly just invite some over.

Waited 6 weeks from feb 16th to get my internet connection back and when i do, and have some free time.PSN gets hacked :(
No fun playing Arcade mode, never mind found PSN on facebook.
That will have to do for now :)

i couldve have sworn ive seen that exact same comment on somewhere else (on EH). O_o

on a side note. some ppl are right. offline gaming can only take you so far. i play SSF4 with my brother who is really good actually, but ive gotten a read on him long ago so playing with him is like playing a tool-assisted video. i know exactly what he'll do (dont say hes not good because half of the people here would lose to him). anyways i think i can wait a few more days. if its until May31st i may have to renew my XBL.
