Direct2Drive has just posted a deal for the PC version or SSF4: Arcade Edition. If you're waiting for the PC release of this game, then this is a great way to save some money.

Simply visit this link and enter the code SIZZLE when checking out with your copy. It should deduct around 10$ from the price of the game.

For those who do not remember, the DLC release date for AE is June 7th. The disc retail date for the Xbox 360 and PS3 is June 28th. The PC release has a tentative "July 2011" release date.

Ono on twitter suggests that they'll rebalance and add more characters post SFxT release. I'll hold onto my wallet and see if they once again gyp PC dlc support.

Sure you can pirate it, but then you can't play online. What's the point of playing a fighting game against the CPU all the time? Online matches are the reason that 99% of the people buy fighting games anyways.

Problem is, Capcom is acting stupid again and forcing awful gfwl for online services.
Idk, i guess capcom is lazy to add few more lines to their xbox code :(

And, even though it's xbox games for windows live, no cross platform.

I am buying the game for xbox and ps3 since I have friends with both systems. So it's really cool to get a discount on the PC version which I really, really want on my laptop to play at work or an impromptu session at a bar like I did in vanilla days. Can't wait.

Pretty sure they're just console kids that don't even have a decent enough PC to run it but shts getting old every article that has the word 'PC' in it gets flooded by pirate this pirate that comments.

For me, I'd rather buy it on steam. I like all my digital games kept there.

oh by the way, on the live stream to ask capcom yesterday, they mentioned that they were gonna "think" about implementing some of the best PC fanmade skins. tho definitely not owned characters skins such as spider-man.

Nice deal, but I would prefer the disk release even if it will cost me $79.95 Australian (Same as SF4 and RE5 cost me).

My local EB is taking pre-orders for the game now so on Wednesday (payday) I will be putting my first $20 towards it.

You will get the exact same game, the difference is the distributor.

Steam is more than just a digital distribution platform, its like a distribtion/communication/multiplayer hub for PC gaming, like Xbox live (but much better and FREE).
I would recommend to buy it on steam.

Hm tough decision... I like Steam but their policy "1 Euro = 1 Dollar" makes the price on D2D SO MUCH BETTER! With the code it costs even less than a new retail game over here (Poland).

The idea of fan favorites being "saved" for SF×T upsets me, but if it's only until SF×T has its time to shine with some characters you can't just play in SSF4, and we can get them as DLC for SSF4 later, I won't mind as much. Another $15 a year from now for four characters everyone actually wanted? That sounds good to me.

Honestly, I don't get why everyone is saying "I'll wait for steam and pay full price" when there isn't even any plans for steam play. However, if there is steamplay, they usually make you download it through steam anyway like they did with Brink. I got Brink for 30% off and I preloaded through steam as a steam game. I mean I suppose it's nice to see your games catelog in the client, but even then I just throw the overlay over it anyway.

I personally love Direct2Drive now, because of all the deals they have every month, I've gotten so many 50-60 dollar games for like 30-40 bucks. I woulda mentioned this myself had I known everybody else wasn't looking at it.
