I don't know about you guys, but the atmosphere is completely wrong to me.

And like #3 mentioned, there's no kabuki man on the wall.

Meh. Still looks like a place where you're likely to get your ass reamed.

It looks amazing, very awesome. But the lighting is off.

Also, I don't think I'd ever want to bathe there, look how filthy it is.

As good as this looks, it is way too dark and realistic to ever be considered as a SF theme. Even when the next generation consoles are here, I doubt that the SF series will drift away from their cartoon-ish art style.

Looks like a mix between Street Fighter and Bioshock.

looks pretty good, but it doesn't feel "street fighter-ish" more like it's from the mortal kombat universe...

and the stage fatility is a bathing fat dude, who comes out and just sits down on the loser.

This is an alternate version of the bathhouse stage recreated in a more realistic way. I doubt the artist has any intention of having it used in a Street Fighter game.

Why all the criticism? I think it looks amazing...

No it's not at all realistic and the criticism is definitely well deserved. No proper bathhouse is that dark!

Excellent, but with two flaws: no kabuki man, and the sumo ring isn't supposed to be an oval, it's supposed to be circular. It just looks like an oval in SF2 because it's viewed from an angle.

WOW! I am stunned at how well that looks! It would make a great back drop for a SF movie (if it was done well).

Capcom, I trust that we'll see this in SF5.

AMAZING. Why Capcom didn't put old stages (remakes) in addition to the new stages in the SF4 series, I'll never know, but these need to be in the game!

No thanks , SF should always look cartoony without the realism plague ... while Mk shoudl always look gritty .

I mean why can't people just say I don't like it? Thats it. Just say you don't like it. They have to go through this whole justification of why something is bad to them to make them seem smart.

So what? It's HIS take on what the bath house should look like, if you can do better I suggest sending one of your own pieces of artwork. He does'nt work for Capcom he does this on his own, your opinion means nothing.

People act like Street Fighter is so sacred that it can never be expressed outside it's current artform and canon. being fans is not about preseving it's canon, it's about showing how much you love something, and that is what this artist is doing.

Justification is part of criticism. Providing it doesn't make someone seem "smart." It makes them seem sane. Your empty, unsupported opinion of how you feel about something, rather than a reasoned critique, is meaningless and would not constitute true discussion or contribution.

As for the bathhouse, it looks like a Blade Runner bathhouse or something. E. Honda seems to be an upbeat type of a guy, though not 100% interested in preserving tradition, so I imagine him preferring a cheerier environment for his baths.

Whats with all the SF5 talk? O_o It's probably gonna be like 10 or so years before another street fighter title comes around.

I commend Jordan Walker for his amazing work!!! He should work at Capcom if they do a remake fo SF2 series

why does people nowadays like dark stuff. The stage is made really SUPER AWESOME but very dark and because of the darkness it looks a little dirty.
