Actually, Inoue probably has more BP than Daigo. He's got 145k with Yun, and another Master Adon card at 35K.
IIRC, Mago has a Master Sagat card in addition to his ~150K with Fei, so he might have the most BP overall.
Daigo doesn't have significant BP with anyone other than Yun, AFAIK. He has like 8K with Guile, but that's not really big.
For those that don't know, Inoue (Kazunoko) owns Game Inn Sakura arcade, and he was "Daigo's friend" everybody thought was on the XBL account gameinn. He likely was on that account, along with Daigo.
Still beasting, obviously.
Shiro is probably up there too. I know he's got like 5 characters above 30K. And hell... come to think of it, Kindevu probably has more BP than anyone.
I've averaged similar BP numbers like these before, and this game would be so amazingly balanced if it wasn't for Yun and Fei.
They are just too high.
This is a legit tier list if you ask me, just average all the numbers out and there you have it!

These are the top 10 players for each character, and some guys have G.Mastered multiple ones, like Kindevu.
The most popular characters are still Ken, Ryu,Akuma and Sagat in Japanese arcades, and it will be the same when it hits consoles. If you think the average idiot can play Yun well and will surpass the shoto army, well...

Lowest point characters - Dan, Hakan and Rose...why am I not surprised? E.Ryu hasn't been out long so his low score doesn't count much if you factor time in.

If you've ever played 3S, you will know these guys are not easy to use. At all. Especially Yang. If noobs think they can just pick up Yun or Yang and get an easy victory, they're in for a rude awakening, as they would have to work much harder for their victories compared to Ryu, Ken, Akuma, or Sagat.
Thanks for the ranking list. I actually want to see more dudleys b/c I actually dropped shotos and sagat to play a different style character just for the heck of it. I was enjoying playing and winning with dudley before PSN went offline. I'm excited about what dudley can do in AE espeically with his new EX duck under move.
I feel that you can't discredit daigo and other top players for using top characters. There are players who play for fun, and players who play to win. Sure it may be an overkill (cuz yeah, yun seems really OP), but they could lose out on thousands of $$$ for losing a round in a tourney.

@#44 i agree with your sentiment that daigo gets hated on for no "good" reason. but i will say this if he's the best why not use a character lower down the tier list? i think that's the major gripe if you can cut through all the mindless bashing.
a tier list is a suggestion based on two players of exact same skill fighting it out, so you guys who who think its a auto win are probably either not very good or barely play competitively which i guess is one in the same.
ultra master seems pretty cheesey though when the guy you use is widely recognized as the overall best, put that title on say a solid mid tier, and anyone would give respect to.
Yun and Yang getting body in Japanese tournament lately. I Only see Daigo and MDR holding with Yun. This week i saw Kindevu's Yun lost to t hawk.

Yes WGE, I ever, Yun is going to be amazing. lol I definitely feel he's stronger than Fei Long and Yang.
About the online thing.....if anything, Evil Ryu and Oni Akuma will be popular...Yun/Yang require a completely different way of playing (and thinking). Rufus is easily an A tier character, but how many do you fight online? Switching from a zoner to a rush down means getting out of your comfort zone, which most players won't want to do.
Though I have discipline, so if I wanted to I could learn Yun/Yang. Anytime you learn a new style of character, you have to be dedicated and be willing to put in the work.
Zoners are safe characters who can turtle and make a lot of mistakes. Rush down characters like Yun/Dudley require good execution and constant pressure.

You haven't played 3rd Strike, I can be sure about that :) . Most used characters would still the Shotos. Yun, Yang and Makoto require very high skill to play, there's no way an idiot can beat others with those three.
All players who use Yun/Yang/Makoto are top players themselves, not the characters make them top :)

yeah yun and yang gonna be used alot online, not because theyre top tier, but just because theyre look cool (skates/yun wears a hat lol). Seriously, ryu and ken along with other shotos will still be top pick imo since theyre probably easier to use than the twins. You still gotta learn the character before you can "properly" win with them...excluding Vanilla Sagat.

Dont expect the learning curve of Fei, Yun and Yang are gunna be easy like Sagat, Ryu and akuma. Especially for the ones that spams fireballs, air fireballs, jumping back and tatsu's all day, then as soon as u get close they throw out a dragon punch.

Yun isn't difficult to use in this game, maybe 3rd Strike but that's a COMPLETELY different game. In this game there's a lot of autopilot characters and Yun is one of them, at lower level not high. I think Yang will be harder to use than Yun.
you're forgetting that ranks and bp are much easier to gain in the arcade versions. basically if you have absolutely nothing else to do but play the game, like daigo, you'll get to master rank pretty fast. of course, it requires actually beating people, so just pick those shïtty tired out salarymen that come to the arcade during the evening. sort of like boosting online with your friend.
