Cody highlights from Super Street Fighter 4 & Arcade Edition

If you haven't checked out Furansujin, Jun or Kawaguchi's Cody before, you're in for a treat. These are three of the top Cody players in Japan, and they each bring their own bag of tricks and style to the table. Here are some matches to look over.

First up is Furansujin playing in an Arcade Edition tournament, which was uploaded by Ov3rheadGreg.

Next is Jun against Acqua, the well known Ibuki player, posted by bendermac.

Here's another clip from bendermac, highlighting Kawaguchi's Cody.

And closing out with one more game from Furansujin, posted by RajmanGamingHD.

seen his noticable cr. lk in action and ex zonk looks like it has faster recovery-shorter range, but still very punishable on block \ it seems like they favor his cr. lk lp cr upper maybe not as punishible on block anymore? cuz in super a cr. lk into lp cr upper from max distance on block could be easily punished by sagats st. roundhouse... that scared the hell out of that sagat player in AE he was like wtf i thought that was punishable... other than that same cody strategies hes just now being recognized as a strong character in AE because of all character nerfs to defensive tools.. he can now get in without worrying about taking too much damage.. still annoying matchups tho lol ggs

@RicketyCricket Thanks for posting the sitamachi playlist, I don't think he's quite as good as furanjusin, Jun or Kawaguchi though.... I have quite a few Kawaguchi matches if you're interested, around 35 matches.

Good lord. I thought I was pretty good with Cody until I seen these videos lol. My link timing is shaky and I drop more complicated combos with links like st. HP to cr. MP and these guys didn't drop anything once. Back to training, I can finally learn more than just trial mode combos and bnbs. Also good to know he'll still be a beast in AE. I don't know how anybody can call SSF4 easy compared to ANY other SF, I never had this much trouble with links in 3rd Strike, and I hardly ever used Target Combos on there unless I played with Ken. Not that 3rd Strike ain't the sh!t, cause it is, but I'm just sayin.

Is the AE version sped up? It looks a bit faster than the SSF4.

That's cause in 3s combo's don't last as long unless you use GJ. That game is more about single its from footsies then mixin them up. In SFIV there' way more combo's that are possible. I'm not saying their all harder but some are.

I've known about Fransujin since Super came out, Fransujin is i8600011. Top Cody player on PSN. Fransujin is the best Cody in the world, no question.

Cody has solid normals, hit confirms, and pretty good specials.

Only thing I don't like is his walk speed and the fact that he just feels sluggish.
