Mike Ross, Clockw0rk and Clakey D were all guests on G4 TV's Fighting Words. There's a rematch between Ross (Storm, Thor, Sentinel) and Clockw0rk (Amaterasu, Doctor Doom, Phoenix), but before that gets started, the trio discusses the balance patch that Marvel vs. Capcom 3 saw not too long ago, and also talk a little about the East Coast / West Coast rivalry.

Id rather fight sentinel in mvc2 because that's not an easy character to pick up. In this game you just have to learn the basic combo everyone has and your fine.

gonna be a while before mvc3 has all its bugs and gameplay mechanics to get patched and fixed right. Also more game modes. Then people will take this game serious enough. Im still surprised pro players are still on this game. I guess tourney players still get a stiffy after playing this game. Hope my love will come back to this game. Still collecting dust, there must be a bunch of patches and updates ive missed. I like hulk, thor, x23, she hulk and spenser. I need a better assist character to go with hulk, spenser or thor and x23. or she hulk and chris.

The first patch was scheduled before the game was even released.

it was scheduled but doesn't mean they were planning for Sent's health to be lowered until User feed back came in

@8 People do take Marvel serious already. More game modes isn't going to change anything in a tournament or make people take the game more seriously. All pro players really do is training mode and tournaments anyway. I swear all some people can do is complain about every little thing.

u cant even be serious or play a high level online. whats the point if you can see other people play. mvc3 is just training mode all day. that sucks.

#6 You can also learn how to easily block and punish whiffed moves from Sent since he's quite easy to punish and rushdown.

I spent quite a while trying to dig up the interview and can't, but Seth Killian pretty explicitly stated that due to the production and approval time required for all patches on consoles, all the changes on the first gameplay patch were finalized before the game was released.

I bet they even knew Desk would break the game before they even released, but just to be nice they decided to let the guy have his fun and just fix things with a patch after a few weeks.

@19: Probably not. Considering he actually found one, maybe two, of the glitches he made videos of. At least one of them were even in the Brady guide.

Arguing against balance patches because fighting games didn't have them over a decade ago is stupid. They would have been patched if the infrastructure was there like it was for PC games. These guys should be grateful that Capcom has the ability and the desire to patch obvious bugs FOR FREE. MvC3 has gotten much better post-release treatment than any fighting game, ever. I don't even like the game and I can see this.

it would be idiotic for them to charge us for patchs if we bought this game. What screw up the game some more so they can charge us. please........... unfinished game, plus get charged for capcoms unfinished product. yea get some more money out of us.

tokyo@$$wipe.......... i dont hate the game, just being a fighting game fanactic, ssf4,mk9, mvc3 and so on i was just really disappointed when i actually first got this game. Hype for nothing, just training mode and online lobby matchs that cant even be viewable. Crappy dlcs not even worth buying and glitchs to hell. Every one has there opionions, looks like mine irritates you a whole lot. Stay free, be happy duck sauce. Elfs A Beast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
