x Who Is Alpha and RPGFighter sent over some information about Arcade Live, an emulation service that allows you to play online against competitors in classic arcade games. EventHubs members in the Forums have praised its functionality and ease of use and are currently using it for Street Fighter III: Third Strike meetups. Alpha has created a good tutorial for setting it up in this forum thread so just follow the tutorial carefully if you are having trouble setting it up.With All honesty the Net code for Arclive Is 10X better that GGPO. No lines, No port Forwarding, and best of all No specs. and if people do want to spectate they can watch people play each other through the replay area and they will only be 1 min behind the actual match. I honestly Recommend any Supercade and GGPO player to try this out.

Click that Link and Ask Alpha he can help you get set up with everything you need
I'll try it. Hopefully I can improve on the classic fighters especially SSF2X.
It's sick. I've been playing for a bit over there since we found out about it. The more the merrier.
@SLOarang
Maybe just copy/paste an @ sign in...
@17
It's the arcade version of the game but you play against people online. It's not the full version that was on DC/PS2/XBox. It's still really awesome and you should check it out.
@20
Don't worry about it. There is probably gonna be a lot of new players now since this got mentioned on the main page.
It's like playing the game at an arcade where you play the story mode sorta thing against the CPU until your opponent presses start, then you face off against them. One of the awesome things with ArcLive is that you can have lobbies of up to 4 people and it acts like SSF4's winner-goes-on Endless Battle mode.
(still wanna know where money is goin' if im not gonna be payin' capcom...)
GGPO became the sign of everything bad in my life, since the netcode is one of the worst humanity has ever seen.
I mean.. Capcom slaps itself with INCREDIBLY BAD netcodes all the time, INCREDIBLY BAD ones. But GGPO is just an insult.. sadly it's (/was) still the only and best way to play SF3 online, Mame and Superarcade are reasons to suicide.
I shall go and try out this magical Arclive, filled with hope that it brings back light into my life as an SF3 player.
It's time this did improve to help for pc users and until Online Edition comes out. There's no reason that 3s shouldn't have a thriving online community :)
All you guys that joined us tonight, tell your friends. I'm sorry that a few of you had problems with the set up. I've only had this program for a month now so I haven't encountered a few of the problems you told me about.. I also didn't create the program so I wouldn't know how to fix it, I apologize,but for those whom it worked well for tell your friends, we need a strong 3s community again.
can anyone tell me what an arcade board is? i play on GGPO all the time with ROMs from various webs (aint gonna tell) and i dont wanna be kicked or anything.
@BisonBetterBeGooDInSSF4
Just use the ROM from GGPO for 3s.
ArcLive is horrible. The only thing good about it is that it supports 4 player lobbies where the winner stays and loser swaps, and it's replay function that will automatically convert replays into avi files. Otherwise, GGPO and Supercade are superior in terms of netcode. Plus GGPO has a much larger userbase, while often I login to ArcLive and find empty rooms all over.
40# I got on it as well it does lag quiet a bit is thier anyway to make it better, i have been looking at all the option on thier, to try and see if i can but to no aveil.
@40 lol omg man you lie sooo much, 6 people from GGPO say that Arclive has a better net code then GGPO so I think your ether being Salty for sucking at the game or something. but Arclive plays way better than GGPO. and I hope that you played a U.S player because if you did not read and you went into zone one and played a Korean player or china player then you are a idiot
@TheOneandOnlyOne
Try setting the lag to 2 in the game option. THat will make the game less susceptible to lag.
ArcLive has been moved to SupARC.com, old domain has been closed.
Well, they recently have updated ArcLive to a new version that can provide a suggestion room list with nearby users,
You can go to suparc.com to get a new version.
backup domain is arclive.co
Maybe I can finally broaden another dude I play against in 3rd Strike's playing field.
