I wouldn't mind paying for AI's based on "star" players. That would be cool, but I just don't know how much of that they could actually do.

LoL as interesting as it was to play against AI replicates of actual people from the development team, I think it's a joke that they think they can get away with charging people money to buy more "opponents".
I mean, how is this any different from playing against the computer with the difficulty set to easy/medium/hard?
Give me something actually worth paying for, like spectator mode (which is kinda sad that I'd even think that they would charge us for that but after this news post nothing would surprise me now).

I'm not outraged they would charge money for this - $1 is not that big a deal - but I am pretty annoyed they would waste time on this in the first place. Who seriously cares? How much time went into this vs. how much time is going to be spent playing it?

The MVC3 AI is ridiculous. It punishes whiffed crouching light with Hypers and Supers. I've seen "un" do the same in Shadow Mode as well, which makes me doubt how well this concept was implemented. I can't imagine human beings are capable reacting this quickly.
Ive got spare MS points left over. Even if I didn't, a dollar is nothing. Its just.. Im scratching my head asking why I should pay any amount of money for this. Maybe if it were 10 shadows. But 3? That's not even worth turning my Xbox on.

Capcom has continued to do DLC all wrong for the past few years and I have finally had enough. I may buy the newest version of SF when it comes, but that's it. F*ck you Capcom.

The 1st pack was FREE and it was against (supposedly) actual PEOPLE's choices.
The NEW pack is $1 and it's against...NOBODY! It's just special teams we could have come up with ourselves!

Any of you heard of the term QQ? Do me a favor and get over it, it's a freakin dollar. If you don't want to buy any of the DLC then don't buy it. No one cares about your bickering over something that costs as much as a combo at McDonalds.
Tell me something, when was the last time you got a game that was perfect? Does it exist? Can you make a game and know 100% for certain that all of the bugs and glitches have been worked out? No, because you need to test it. Not with testers but with the actual community. There is no telling what direction a game will go until the people get their hands on it. That being said, once these bugs and glitches are found, are the people who made the game supposed to go through and do these fixes free of charge? It's a business, and time is money. The time it takes to fix these problems costs money and whether you think it should have been done before hand or not is outside of the point.
You paid for a Marvel vs Capcom fighting game that allowed you to use the allotted characters, play with your friends, and play on line; so far Capcom has given you all that and more. Stop bitching.
Yeah, the fact that their is not even the thin veil that these could be real people's team and play styles kind of bothers me. It makes me think that the first 3 are just normal CPU opponents of different skill levels. How possible is it to simulate a real person's play style and reactions?
I'm more annoyed by the fact that they're wasting time on this than actually making the game more bearable when playing online and navigating through the menu.
Also: You don't need to pay 1$ to buy these teams, you can easily fight against the AI, set the desired difficulty level and voila, you're fighting the programmers' AI, because they developed it right Capcom?! RIGHT?!!

I'd buy it if they had people "stronger" than un. Playing against Very Hard was harder than un, and I get to pick the characters. I want some AI that can actually finish off combos (even the basic ones) so that I'm at least a little challeneged. It's nice to have to practice offline, but give me something more difficult please!
Now they're charging money for this. Come on! This is insane but still I need a challenge anyway. I only wish they added more achievements such as getting all the titles and icons.
@39: I agree. I tried Very Hard and it was crazy but I'm only doing it to get every other title for all the characters.
Most I'm seeing is the complaint of shadow mode and how it sucks not so much money how about working on replay or spectator mode you know what people actually want.
next they gonna charge u 2$ for spectator mode. or 3$ to get more colors for ur dlc costumes. u can buy a beer with that $1 and be happy, rather than some shltty mode. its not the cost its the principle.

I like how people say "its not a big deal,". It's only a dollar...true, but it is also a test. Lets see how much money exactly we can squeeze out of these people. The first one was free. The second is a dollar with people you don't really care for. Then when the more difficult,cool titles, and popular players(yipes,J Wong,Marn,Combo,etc) get put up for dlc they can charge maybe 5-10$.
Sure you have a job. You can afford to spend 1 dollar. No big deal, but you are also giving them more reason to charge higher for more important dlc. But hey if you want to spend over 100$ for a game all together. Go for it, and thanks for thinking about yourself and making it harder for everyone else.

Just wait for someone who has all the titles and fight them, and get them to rotate the titles. You'll get all the titles without playing Shadow Mode.
Although I'm not paying for this, I know a lot of people are going to pay for it, and it's going to become a standard. Just like Activision's mistake with CoD 2, I'm happy I don't really buy DLC for all these console games.
If a million people get this then thats a million dollars they make easy lol. The mere fact that they even proposed this means they know that they'll get that money lol. Thats business for you though. To them were just ants in their little ant farm :)
I blame us the fans. During the entire year since it's announcment all people ever cried for was, characters, characters, and more characters. no one raised their voice up and asked for solid hardcore modes that competed with the likes of Blazblue, or Mortal Kombat. hate those games as much as you want fan boys but they are doing something right that Capcom is not and I think it has a lot to do with the little hype the game gets. The less hype, the more attention to detail these companies put in their game.
I bought Blazblue CS before MvC3 to tied me over, I was suprised how complete the game was. A complete training mode, a REAL story mode, full voice overs english and japanese, a real art gallry and a solid online mode with "gasp" spectating. Then I buy MvC3 lol.
You guys have it all wrong, you guys should'nt just say if you like it buy it, if you don't, don't buy it, you guys need to freakin Protest. Instead of us spending time trolling these sites we need to go to Capcom Unity and fill the boards with huge complaints and rage and angre, I mean these mofos got your 60 bucks and you ain't even mad at the quality you got called "a game" what kind of fans are you?
It's like Capcom is still stuck in the stone age. Until us Capcom fans stop buying this Capcom crap and start making REAL demands this is the kind of crap we are gonna get. Think back at SF4. They didn't charge us for Championship mode because they didn't wanna risk making themselves look bad so it was free (a big mode like that). Now seeing the success of SF4 and SSF4 and seeing how much money they made off DLC with SF4 and SSF4's alternate outfits and such they wanna make MVC3 their big cash cow literally. Unless the fans demand against this then nothing will be done. Sadly the only people that care about them charging are the hardcore players, and since the target audience are the casual players (who dont mind paying a 1$) and they outnumber us then Capcom will continue to get away with this.
Whats more, they might be trying to compensate for the terrible online play this game has and trying to see if we will (or how much we'll) actually pay for spectator mode or even pay for them just to fix the lag issues since we want it so bad. If they charge for something like AI and we buy it then rest assured they're gonna break pockets with spectator mode as they bundle it into some "take it or leave it" package deal with something else. It wont stop until they are charging for everything. Silly things like picking 3 of the same characters come to mind. How much would we pay for that? Somebody would pay believe me.
I imagine that Street Fighter X Tekken will be LOADED with downloadable content and characters that we have to pay for. By then Capcom will already know how much we all are willing to pay for something important and something thats not so important so they'll max out the price lol.

By the way thing are going with each game, Capcom is starting to make excuses to charge us every way they can and retards are always defending them without second thought (fanboys). When they're giving us unbalanced and unfinished games full of glitches, while other fighting games offer way more with out the need of either DLC nor $. Seriously this got to stop.

That would be almost five bucks right there, and I can guarantee most of these teams I came up with in 5 minutes will be up for purchase by the end of the year. And people are gonna keep buying until Capcom makes teams with more of their crappy staff, and pro players. We're all gonna give them just ten bucks for their 5 minute effort and its gonna add up in no time.
Guys, please. Do NOT buy these! When they start releasing 10 pro players or 20 themed teams at a time for a dollar, then I'll look into it. But this is the most pointless thing I've ever seen, honestly. :l

MvC3 is by far the worst handled game out there I've seen in terms of DLC. Capcom is really just insulting everyone's intelligence at this point with this game...it's shameful almost. I'll wait for "Marvel vs Capcom 3.5: Fate of Two and A Half Worlds" when HOPEFULLY EVERYTHING is in the game to begin with is more fleshed out and it's actually decent enuff' to play like other classics *cough* MvC2 *cough*. ;p
