LevelUp recently tweeted about two new upcoming charity tournaments meant to support relief efforts ongoing in Japan due to the recent earthquake and tsunami. The official page for the tournament duo and who it supports is hosted at this Wordpress page.

This combined charity tournament effort will consist of Super Street Fighter 4 and Marvel vs. Capcom 3 gameplay. EG.Justin Wong, Alex Valle and John Choi will be in attendance with the potential for other top competitors to show up. There will be two streaming stations running for both tournaments hosted by LevelUp and iPLAYWINNER.

All of the tournament proceeds and donations will be given directly to GlobalGiving's Japan Relief Effort. This event takes place on April 3rd and all the links for each tournament's location and description are at the Wordpress blog.
