Tip from Niessu7.
Existent seems like he's still butthurt over 3S.
I'm currently learning Chun-Li, she'll most likely be my secondary, or may possibly replace my main, which is Juri. I like Chun's defensive options much better over Juri's. This is helpful.
I have mained Chun Li since vanilla and always learning new things about her. Havent really used her other anti-air moves except for Ex-Spinning Bird and sometimes S.HK. Great video, definitely gonna try these out online.
Existent, you probably have no idea of what you're talking about cause Chun is known to be one of the hardest character to play competitively. And I'm of course not talking about just doing mad combos, but if you are at least a half-decent player you should know that.
Anyway, I was hoping this video was more specific, cause this is something every Chun player already knows and to be honest it makes it look a bit too easy (for example st.HK loses 90% of the time if the opponent sticks out something)
@shinakka
I'm no where near tourny level, but I've got almost 5000BP with Juri, so I'm no slouch with her, but I just like Chun better cuz she's safer IMO. I don't like worrying about a simple 2 or 3 hit combo putting me at half or close to half my health.
@11 It is for someone who doesnt play the game for hours on end everyday cuz they have a life outside of street fighter. :)
Chun-Li is not an easy character to master effectively for many reasons.
1) She has low Hp
2) Low Damage
3) People can predict with your Hazanshus
4) Loses fireball game
5) Does not have a good anti-air, so you have to zone pretty darn well lol.
Only thing good is her pokes and footsies
Obviously Existent knows nothing if he's going to make an outrageous claim like "at least 20 well deserved" Haha...Sad dude, You don't know what the hell you're talking about.
Name a few like Kelgar said. Prove your statements buddy.
Granted, at a basic level, she is not hard to use, at a HIGHER level of gameplay & taking account on what Tenshoyaku listed, she's tougher than at least the 20 you haven't mentioned.
people seems to forget that there is like 25 character under chun, what about t.hawk, el fuerte, sakura, vega, hakan, gouken, dan, guy, cody, jury, dudley, gen, makoto, damn even sagat is lower comparing to her, there is a list showing the weakness she has but look at more characters and see hes weakness, there is more than guile, rog, honda, bison, akuma, ryu damn...
wait you know those character I say before are in the game right?
...I'm not one to be "that guy", but aren't there numerous videos on Chun's AA options already? They haven't changed much since SF4. Plus, the vid didn't seem to have very many examples of the different attacking characters, well, attacks. In the Ken one in particular, he only demonstrates the AA's versus J. HK. Slight oversight. Good video, but like Mr Clack said, he's late to the party and there's nothing truly spectacular about the info presented here nor the presentation itself.
And now that I've finished making myself look like a pompous prick, the only tutorials I think anyone truly cares for at this point in the game's life is more advanced ones for techniques such as safe jumping, option selects and other setups that are more or less constantly up for discovery.
@Existent: Idk about the other characters you mentioned because I don't play them, but I DEFINITELY agree that Juri is hard to play with at a high level, mostly because her RIDICULOUS lack of health >_<
You all are so ungrateful, just be happy that he took the time to make a video for people who barely know how to play her. She is one of my mains and even though I knew most of this, it's still pretty cool to see it in action. (You learn something new everyday)
better late than never
