Sako (Rose, Ibuki) vs. Kiryu Tsukimiya (Guy) Super Street Fighter 4 matches

It's great we get to see these characters played by japanese pros.

Wow those rose vs Guy matches really looked similar to our matches catalyst. Its a bad matchup man xD

My first news subscription :D....anyway i recently have been messing around with Guy and despite the fact that this matchup is lop-sided, Kiryu still did his best...scope out the mixups he does in each of these sets...

"One of the best"? Combofiend is decent, but is anyone even close to being as good as Kiryu? I'd love to see them if there is, as a good Guy player is a lot of fun to watch.

I try to avoid blanket statements in the news when it comes down to opinion. I don't think there are many who would dispute Kiryu is the best Guy right now, but it's not like I've searched all corners of the SSF4 universe.

Many good guy players who are better if not as good as kiryu...

OTK(legendary CVS2 player)
Kiyo(THE A3 guy player but now plays SSF4AE)
Ihara(awesome matches of this guy at NSB)
NOX(kuwait player whom Daigo thinks is the best Guy player)
R(awesome player back when japan played SSF4 , but dunno if hes playing AE)

you need to watch these Guys(lol).. they all play Guy in a different manner.. some focus on footsies and ground game and others with Mixup and good ol RTSD ....

The only match up I believe is worse than this is with Chun Li.

Should check out that Who Is Alpha, I heard he has a pretty good Guy when he shows at tournies. :D

Sako's footsies are freaking amazing! he whiff punishes shorts and jabs! O_O

right now in AE, OTK is the highest ranked guy player, and with good reason, he is amazing. as a guy main, I honestly think rose vs guy is a 7:3 match. spiral is really safe, her ultra 2 stops you in your tracks and Guy can't cross her up outside of a corner (try it, same goes for Cody and Sim) the rose fight is ALMOST as hard as fei long. though i still say nothing is harder than the Honda match up.

rose is a tough match up in general, especially ones who know how to space well and utilize her backdash. Even when your close up and blocking her normals, theyll push you back enough so she'll be at a safe distance. Kinda annoying trying to get in lol.
