My thoughts:
1)I think this game and the other older Vs. games like X-men Vs. Street Fighter and Marvel vs. Street Fighter have the best "Camera" in how the characters appear in the screen.
2) Why is there a Blazblue theme used for this video?
3) The sounds in this game were amazing (like Wolverine hitting someone or when Sentinel himself got hit)
4)Yipes should be quoting ICE-F*CKING-MAN
RandomDP If I remember correctly they used the same voice for Wolverine as they did in the X-Men cartoon from the 90's. For me this was the first video game that really captured the spirit of the comic it was based on. I remember playing this in the arcade and trying to do the cheat that allows you to play as Akuma. I could never pull it off and always ended up picking Silver Samurai by default, memories.
I think my fav diner in NJ still has this game in it's entranceway.... :D
How I miss hand drawn Capcom games :( mvc2 should have been fully drawn backgrounds like this and not the crappy graphics it had. Anyway thus brings back memories of being in 6th grade dying to play it by my house in a video club. Too bad the ps1 version sucked and Saturn was the way to go but I didn't have one :( everyone should play this game one time in they life though it's what started the vs trend.

Stay Free you have to consider that when these games came out in the arcade. People were generally unaware that combos like this were possible, I never saw anyone in the arcade use combos like this. There were no training modes etc and no youtube for people to go and watch combo vids, even the best local arcade players weren't this good. I don't even think there was a training mode on the home versions. No one among my peer group could pull off these combos on their home systems. So what appears possible now hadn't been conceived at the time. If you compare it to the current fighting game scene every new combo and glitch appears online and is exploited by players who are only in it for the rank and the win. Thus making it boring and broken than it ever was.
Peace.
P.S Shout to my arcade crew who remember when it was purely about hanging around on Saturday Afternoon and playing for the fun of it.
My point being when this game was released it probably had a four year shelf life, at the most. The staff at Capcom probably didn't conceive these combos were possible and it can't be patched out etc. Upon it's release Children of the Atom wasn't broken; it's taken seventeen odd years for this stuff to appear. MVC3 on the other hand is broken simply because all of these glitches, infinites etc were apparent and exploited from the outset.
Man this brought back memories of playing fighting games on a Sunday afternoon with my brother and cousin! Good times and sick video!
