Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Punishing Okami Shuffle on block with hypers

A video showing how to counter Amaterasu's Okami Shuffle hyper in Marvel vs. Capcom 3 was posted by Ksizzle.

He had this to say about the clip.

A lot of people still think it is a constant hitbox which is very wrong and I depict ways to my knowledge on countering with hypers and very important information on the 2nd part of the move, showing that it has a big deadzone that some characters can take advantage of. Just wanna put this out there so people can learn about it as I still see top players at tourneys just block without punishing when they very well could.

For Hsien-Ko, the move used was Tenraiha and not Rimuokon. The video also doesn't show a mirror Amaterasu counter punish. I use and Okami Shuffle to counter my brother's Okami Shuffle often, although it trades if I perform it too early.

I love knowing there's a dead zone behind the ice portion.

I believe if you're fullscreen (zoomed out fullscreen) you can crouch in the corner and completely avoid the fire part, and take very little of the lightning part (unless you're Sentinel).

@3 you've got your complaint backwards. SRK copies nearly all of their news from eventhubs, just look back and you'll see.

hmm... I thought Iron Avenger would be able to punish Okami Shuffle... and couldn't viper stop the rest of the hyper with a properly spaced seismo?

@1 Yeah I apologize for those mistakes. If you read the video comments, I talk about the Ammy mirror punish and what she can do with both hypers. It's in the description.

And to people saying EventHubs copied SRK, that's false. I sent a tip in about it this morning so people can know about it and the paragraph at the bottom was part of it that I didn't post anywhere else.

@6 Iron Avenger goes right under Ammy =[. And as the title says, I only worked with hyper combo punishes. There are definitely tons of ways to punish with normals and specials but I wanted to take a more specific approach for now and chose hypers.

No, Iron Avenger would swish right underneath Ammy, since Ammy is airborne. And Ammy can punish an Okami Shuffle with Divine Instruments too. And I think Thor could punish it with Mighty Thunder, on the same principle as Magnetic Shockwave.

I wonder if Ammy can punish Ammy? I don't think they mentioned it. I'd think Shuffle or her lvl 3 would work.
