Im surprised that the guy didn't pushblock chris away to stop the projectile trap.
He couldn't advance guard because he was getting hit from the fire over and over.
How many times has Justin bodied Floe in the last week? I would have given up after the first time.
I coulda swore if you advance gaurd the fire it pushes Chris back. I'll test it in training mode when I get home.
Chris is actually a great character, it just you have to be careful how you throw his specials since he is a bit slow and he makes a great team with Wesker.
One thing is when you're doing OTG for the second time and do an air combo, he can only hit one time, so it's better to cancel into a hyper instead of doing another air combo. You can even see combofiend missing it.
Just traded the game in. Don't have the time for it any more. Getting old sucks. On top of that I only really have the weekends to practice so every scrub can beat me. Guess that makes me Super Skrubb. My team is Haggar/Dormammu/Iron Patriot (he may sound and act like Tony Stark but that's Osborn in the armor, dammit!) and I often have real trouble with Sentinel. Also, very few characters would excite me enough to get back into it. And thanks to some VERY suspicious voting THATs probably not happening.
UltraDavid is officially the worst commentator on the scene. When he says how he thinks an obscure character is one of the strongest, its like nails on a chalkboard. James Chen critiques gameplay, but there is a reason why he isn't competing. The lingo that these two are trying to establish is lame. They should just stick to ripping off of Yipes and Arturo like everyone else. America's favorite combo? STFO!
@ImmortalBison
I hear you buddy. I'm 30 years old, and I reached a point the other day where I just had to go back to HDR and SSF4. Much more comfortable with a slower paced, thinking man's game. I don't want to have to be constantly mashing on an "assist" button, or "super jumping" over sh*t and just hoping I land in the right spot cause I can't even see what's happening on the bottom half of the screen. I just don't think my brain can process all that nonsense at once anymore. I like to actually enjoy the games i play.
^ Lol in other words, you're just old and you suck.
I will admit though that MvC3 online is trash. The lag weakens the offensive capabilities, and it makes run away characters/tactics more viable than they should be (i.e. Ryu, Akuma, Trish, etc.) I've lost to a lot of scrubs Ryu's lately that just spam kamehameha hypers.
But offline is where this game shines. A couple of the best players in my state got together and played for a night, it was really hype. Especially when lag isn't a factor.
@16 Your ass is gonna get old too one day so watch what you say. Have a bit of respect please, some of the best Players are in their 30's or more and im sure they can still teach you a thing or two. No disrespect just it seemed you were being harsh for nothing.
But you are correct about the online lag, it really hurts offense and make defense more stronger. It also allows for mashy teams to get away with turbo button abuse so it's difficult to punish when you have that 4 frame advantage when it feels like 5.
Also SSFIV and HDR (or SSF2T actually) is a much better game than MvC3 because it's more about mind games than overal chaos which I think anyone can duplicate in this game. It's in MvC3 but in most cases but only before the first death combo hit confirm.
That landmine trick in the corner with Chris was sick. It was an endless block stream and the chip between his grenades and Dorm's assist was priceless. So much chip damage. Fiend's opponent got out b/c he used a counter tag out. I wonder what would have happened if Chris was x factor'd during that trick.
^ You can just get out if you let yourself get hit. Once you recover in the air, you need to air dash out. If you have no air dash, you're pretty much stuck.
@ 17
I wasn't trying to be disrespectful. Just making some fun. Sorry if I sounded condescending.
Damn, Make Mine Marvel. So much MvC 3, I'm overloading. Let's see what Justin pulled off.
