If you can turtle and be offensive with your opponent and have no consequences or reprecussions(sorry4misspelling) then that sucks. Just turtle and grab, dont have to worry about my opponent countering or reversaling because a jab or kick can beat it out and iL grab you anyways still. Theres was times i was just punching and kicking and my opponent couldn't attack or run away, now thats saying something.
It's kind of funny that these 'old school' guys are still so butthurt over the beatings that they took from Snake Eyez and DMG at multiple HD Remix tournaments last year that they're putting out 20 minute videos in an attempt to get people to switch over to ST. Sorry guys, you had your chance. You could have embraced the game that brought SF2 back to the mainstream. You could have taken your losses like with some dignity and congratulated the new breed of players who took your crown. Instead, you chose to drive a wedge so deep into the SF2 community that it will never recover. Enjoy playing ST in your dwindling Supercade/GGPO ghetto with 15 other people.

Also I love A3 but even I can see that it's not very good as a tourney lvl game ST, SFA2, 3s, HDR & SSF4 are though. BTW SBO still does ST hence the vids.

These guys don't like HD Remix because they keep getting beaten at HD Remix tournaments. Damdai was particularly butthurt after the pounding he took at last year's Evo. He made a post on Shoryuken about how HD Remix was "babyzone", which has to be one of the gayest things I've heard anyone say. He also cried his eyes out about HDR Zangief even though he's nowhere near as broken as ST Vega, Dhalsim or Balrog. He singled Zangief out because that's the character Snake Eyez used at Evo to demolish the the 'old school' ST players who don't have what it takes to excel in the newest version of SF2.
These guys have an agenda. They aren't putting these videos to help the SF2 community. They're doing it to get people to start playing ST again because that's the only SF2 game they can compete in. Damdai, in particular, wants you to play ST on Supercade since that's his little fighting game ghetto.
You are scrubs. Take what you can from the video instead being jerks. You actually apply some of these concepts to HDR. As for SFA3, love the game but I've moved on myself but I won't hesitate to play it.
A great game is ALWAYS a great game.
Just because something shiny and new is released does not necessarily invalidate the quality of the earlier product.
A new installment,(hopefully) will improve upon the original. This does not take away from reliving the nostalgia, competition, or the fun in playing that old school game again!
I don't visit this particular Street Fighter version as much as some other fighting games right now but I still do find matches online whenever I do on xbox live.

If a person does not much care for a particular game or article being featured then why not just ignore it? PERHAPS even consider constructively organizing your thoughts and THEN commenting once?
Guys like Damdai aren't just enjoying an old game, though. They're using whatever influence they might have in the fighting game community to marginalize HD Remix. It's a scorched earth policy. If it isn't ST, then it can't be anything. They'd rather never see another SF2 game at a tournament again than have HD Remix remain the tournament standard.
Evo dropped HD Remix this year. Did butthurt ST players like Damdai have anything to do with it? I think so. They've certainly succeeded in driving a wedge into the SF2 community because of the beatings their egos have taken from 'online scrubs' who dared to win major HD Remix tournaments last year.
Liking an old game is fine. My favorite game in the SF2 series in Hyper Fighting, but I would never lobby for the removal of HD Remix from fighting game tournaments because it doesn't suit my personal preference. That's just selfish. Nobody's ego isn't more important than SF2.
Figured i be the first to comment. These guys must not know its 2011. Dont think people are playing or paying attention to this game. On that note this was for the snes. Guys put some sfa max videos or tutorials, then this outdated -rap. No offence, this would probably help me out in tournaments in india or haiti and iraq, i doubt that there would be significant prizes or money but -amn, This is the 21s century, gaming evolved, roll with it or get rolled over. Prove me wrong and some one tell me that theres people slightly interested in this game, or if this is the only game you can afford in your country, then iL cease my argument.
