One of the most talked about matches from Final Round XIV was the Marvel vs. Capcom 3 winners semi-finals set between Peter "Combofiend" Rosas (She-Hulk, Taskmaster, Spencer) and Marn (Zero, Magneto, Sentinel). Team Sp00ky has uploaded a replay of the action.

i love the hype that marvel brings. its amazing that the commentators were still able to cheer like that. ultradavid was on commentary all weekend and noel was there on and off all weekend.

Now all we need is seeing MvC3 either on PC or in the arcade. And no I don't have to buy a Xbox. Worst case? I will never play it. It is ok with me... but if you want me to waste several hundred of $$, you need to release it in the arcade.

Yeah! Spencer - i think on of the most underrated characters in the game right now. High damage combos, bionic arm very useful outside regular combos. Down with sentinel too. Most every team I've seen on these streams have sentinel in them.

Now would like to Super Skrull being used competitively as well. One of my other favorites in this game.

Does Marn even know how to play Sentinel? :O That last round was his. No matter what, he should've X-factored the first hyper and done another hyper. There's no reason not to.

I currently main Spencer, but I can't play at this level nearly at all.

One thing I am working on but can't seem to figure out is how to OTG grapple after the air combo finisher or the more fancy hyper (I can't remember its name).

It looks like CF is capable of triggering a flying screen at will but I can't replicate it, and I cant jump and shoot the grapple down in time, at all. Does anyone know how to OTG grapple with spencer?

Sentinel ate 4 bionic punches on the third match. Marn should have done standing spit ftw. Instead, he did the orb super..dunno why.

Marn screwed up his inputs, plain and simple. It happens to the best of them. Combofiend definitely clutched it out though, Marn made the mistake but Combofiend still had to capitalize.

As soon as you land from the air S, do a Down > Down-Forward > Forward > Up- Forward motion and press either M or H if you are on top of your opponent.

You can also practice it by doing a 360 motion forward + M button(Or H), starting from back. It might not be as responsive or quick as doing the command correctly, but it helps you to get the timing down of the jump grapple OTG command motion.

Damn, that was intense. Marn had some crazy crossovers but combofiend just tore it up with Spencer. Time to hit the lab and test some new characters, I think.

Marn definitely screwed up in the last match with the bubble super. Should've called drones to chip him out. But big ups to Combofiend for pulling out the crazy win and the entire tourney. Was hype as hell.

Very inspiring. Spencer was a character I was considering before MvC3's release, but actually getting to play him he's fun as hell; good to see such astounding gameplay from him.

You know what made this comeback even more godlike.. its' the fact that he was against sentinel the most over powered character in the game (even though now most good player are finding ways to shut him specially when he's with no xfc). Marn did f up that super but still great execution from combofiend.You know I'm gonna say it:

It's never explained which part (it might be just her consciousness) of Emily it is or if the process is reversible that's probably what the sequel was going to explain. Also that element makes the process of making/adding on bionic parts more interesting especially the way Joe explained it before you caved his head in.

Also it kinda brings it back to make me think if a chunk of the whole Capcom universe is actually connected, Tricell exist in bionic commando(the sequel one from 2009) and one of the main villians in RE was named Ozwell Spencer(think about how many people who were not related that you know have the last name Spencer). Also enemy robots can do a Hadouken, Hell even the producer, Ben Judd joked about Bleech project being a success during one demo where that enemy was shown. but that's just me.

Looks like we're gonna see a lot of Spencers online... -.- lol. I want to see a great Thor come out, besides mine :) I am sincerely tired of the sentinel magneto picks. Combofiend definitely showed us unique character picking, skill, and that NOT jumping on the bandwagon is not always a bad thing. hehe
