Here's his explanation.
Much like Akuma's Hurricane kick, the minimum level of hit stun inflicted by Captain America's shield slash never becomes severe enough to prevent it comboing into itself. In other words, you can keep throwing your shield until the other person dies.
This was brought to my attention by a video made by 'KazuYoshitsuna'. Showing many reps of standing H-Shield slash. Unfortunately, the opponent would always fall out after a while. After a bit of messing around I found a way to make it loop infinitely vs 35 out of the 36 characters. This is by far the most practical and simple infinite yet discovered, in my opinion. It uses no meter, doesn't require x-factor and can be started from anything that leads to a cr. H or launcher (among many other set-ups).

I am gonna go try this myself right now, because I am simply curious how difficult it is. The Akuma one requires some good timing skills so it didn't "worry" too many people, but this one looks like it will scare people, ha ha.
Oh, and who's the one person it doesn't work on?! Just out of curiosity. I have a feeling it's Joe, but maybe that's too obvious. =]
Infinite prevention system my ass. This game is truly messed up
Breaking News!
Chun-Li here with the latest news in Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds.
It has been almost a month since this gateway between two worlds have been opened, and the creation of a slew of combo videos by one named "biffotasty" (A.K.A. "Desk") have surfaced. Call this man a genius or a diabolical madman, either way things have really been shaking up over here.
Since the debut of said videos, the online ratios of Akumas have skyrocketed up 68%, and the usage of Captain America is currently up 45% and counting! There have also been reports of Mike Haggar and Spencer being sighted on the same team much more often.
We had an interview with a fellow Sentinel during his brutal experience with an Akuma and his Tatsu Infinite.
"SYSTEM INDICATES SODIUM LEVELS RAPIDLY INCREASING. SYSTEMS REQUIRE A SUPERIOR HITSTUN SCALING PROTOCOL. CURRENT HITSTUN SCALING INDICATE ELECTRO-SPINNY KICK IS TOO GREAT TO BLOCK INDEFINITELY. DOES NOT COMPUTE! DOES NOT COMPUTE! DOES NOT COMPUTE!"
T'was a sad sight to see, we felt helpless as we walked away from the horrifying scene. We tried to catch a glimpse of the attacking Akuma during the many Tatsus, but it appears he was sporting, what appeared to be, the infamous trollface the entire time. For as long as we were in the area, we heard Sentinel repeatedly shout his last line.
We caught up with a Zero, after, unintentionally, snapbacking his opponents during a Sougenmu into oblivion.
"I don't know what happened. I was just doing my thing, juggling two characters, Sougenmu was almost out, and their Chun-Li was in waiting with almost no Health but ALOT of red life, so I decided to snapback her in...but no one ever came back."
We searched the area for hours, they were nowhere to be found. If you have any information of a team of Captain America, Akuma and Chun-Li, call 1-800-892-4299
(1-800-892-HAXX)
We will be on the the look out for more stories as they occur. Chun-Li, signing off.
This is both great and kinda bad.
Capt really needed something like this to stay competitive, compared to the others characters he was average, and in a game like MvC3 average isn't good enough. This probably won't make him top tier of course, but it certainly is a great discovery that will make him more competitive for sure.
It's kinda bad because when people see me online, they'll probably think I'm just riding the bandwagon.
@10
LMAO thanks for that. Now I'm gonna pass my test.
P.S. In class atm.
the following song shall be played when i learn this and use it against sent scrubs

Sry this is not an infinite but a very long loop...+ long enough to where a lvl 1 xfactor can kill a sentinel with no probem - its also in the MVC3 guide if u guys own it. It seems that alot of people putting up these long loops and taking credit for it are not mentioning the fact that its already in the mvc3 guide. Im not saying that they are taking credit but still this is a very good video showing the loop in action
WOW! Something else thats broken in MvC3. The list goes on...

SORRY ITS F***ING PREFECT!
Wow iam glad desk is back.
and @10 That was Epic.
cant wait for your next report. lol
No bandwagon for me as I main Cap. I'm over 100+ plays with him on both platforms so I will definitely try this out.
just tried it and IT IS NOT EASY. especially when u have to jump to keep it going. more often than not ull mess up b4 doing it 100x to kill some1
This infinite is easier that Ironmans in MvC2.
<_<.
Still fun though. I'll use it when ever Trish Mag and sent Start to bore me.
Desk rips off all his sh it from other people. Caj814 found this sh it first.
@16
I think it may be Sentinel. I tried it against a few people (my friends teams) and one set was Morrigan, She-Hulk and Sentinel. I did it to Morrigan and She-Hulk but no go on Sentinel. He recovers too quickly. Out of all people for it to not work on, it doesn't work on Sentinel.
The problem I have about this game and infinites (Even loops) is they are way too easy to pull compared to MvC2 and are boring to watch and perform. You don't get the sense of accomplishment when you use them. I think Niitsuma forgot the most important aspect about Marvel 2 is that if you pulled off the Rom infinite it was because of absolute skill and timing. Now everyone can feel like a Pro because infinites are easy so everyone is great...yay.
I love MvC3 but it just seems like it tries to imitate rather than duplicate which it will never do. Makes me appreciate MvC2 more.
Thanks Desk for breaking the game more.
Oh wow, thats too easy, lol, but nice
