MvC3= Way to many loops and glitchs. Man and i tought el fuertes loop and akumas were scary in sf4. Now its like every character in mvc3 has at least one infinite loop. DAMN that sucks.
atleast games are "patchable" now... i remember playing mvc in the arcades against the spiderman venom glitch. pretty much like this one where u just watch and lose to Time Over.
Even xfactor which is pretty much having another hyper is ridiculous. Just makes combos stronger and last alittle longer.
i hope people dont use this to their advantage online, theres enough bullsh*t on this game allready
but i honestly doubt that someone would pull this off in an ranked match just because its not that usefull unless ur winning by a large margine. it would be dumb to do it and your losing life % wise and not 2 mention its done at the cost of 2 meters so idk.i know the glitch will most likely be patched soon cause the video on how 2 do it is on this popular websit.all in all its pretty funny.lol
@#11 you can take all the time you want to swap your injured characters out to regain health (also you can heal them with morrigan).
@#11 you can take all the time you want to swap your injured characters out to regain health (also you can use your x factor or whatever it's called to regain health as well).
Now this is actually gamebreaking. Needs to be fixed asap.
it's marvel, infant! scoops of haagen-daaz brand ice cream!
Well, another encouraging reason to stay off Ranked match.
Leave it to Desk to break a game in every possible way!
The Spencer glitch is all in good fun, but this is bad... really bad...
And just to silence the haters complaining about the game being "incomplete" or "inferior" or some nonsense... I actually had someone do a similar glitch against me using Morrigan in MvC2. She basically flew off the screen and I spent the rest of the round just super jumping with my characters. Fortunately I had a life lead and he was just doing it for kicks, but if he wanted to abuse it, he could have.
@3
I will in rank.
Pff.
Sentinel players watch the f*** out.
Zero (Superior machine anyway) > Sentinel.
Its done sons.
MK9 Rise and take back your throne and rightful place among fighting games. I COMMAND YOU. Also sf4 is your father. NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Does anyone know when AE will hit shelves or ps or live store. Sounds like we wont be getting it until the end of the year.. 3rd strike onlines also got me hyped. I hope its not like sf hdr.....Well MK9 is almost among us. Man i cant wait. Shame on you for getting me all excited for nothing MvC3. Im still gonna hold on to you tho......For Now....... Its like MvC3 took my virginity without no warning and left me there sitting down speechless. Scarred 4 life.
Should be all fighting games. But most likely its gonna be capcom related.
This is almost like the gambait glitch in MvC2. As soon you get the health lead, you perform the glitch to get the time out win.
@32
There's plenty of ways to get around pushblock. Check out some tutorial vids on youtube regarding it. Some characters can easily dash/wave dash back in against a push block and assists are also not effected by push block either.
On topic though, yeah this game needs a patch in a bad way. Still love it though and all the haters can go play another game and stop spamming up the place cuz they are salty they didnt get the game "they" wanted.
I'm sure there are ways around PB'ing but I don't understand it's inclusion. Getting in on an opponent, especially one with alot of projectiles or screen control can be difficult and you will usually sustain at least some chip in the process. But when you are in, to get you back to where you were is incredibly easy.
Long and the short is that the easier of the two paths is more rewarding and that doesn't make sense to me. You'll likely hate the comparison, but if somebody gets in on you in SF you're gonna have to be on your toes to get them off you/to prevent them from getting damage (Teching throws, punishing holes in blockstrings, watching for overheads etc)
@ RKW
I'm a relative Marvel newcomer trying to learn to play the game well, but as I see it, pushblock is another way to even the playing field with regards to assists. If you have the right characters in your team, you can blockstring a character with the help of assists till you break their guard not so? Say you had an assist like Chun and your main character was Zero.
You recognize your opponent's blocking. You call your assist and, while Chun's in keeping the opponent locked down, change up your attack pattern and try another blockstring, maybe it lasts long enough that the recovery period for assists is counteracted and you can do this over and over till you get in a combo.
In SF, pushback and counterattacks are inevitable because of reversals and their invinvicibility frames, command grabs and all the various things people like to talk about when they can't keep their offense going. Plus, combos in Marvel are extremely more dangerous...At least in SF you know when your back hits the ground the combo is over.
I mean you can make the argument that the assists of the blocking character should aid this situation, but I'm sure all factors can't be covered in every team.
This game needs a big patch. While the game is already unbalanced as is, glitches like this is unacceptable. Tournament organizers should not need to ban a character like Zero or have a bunch of spectators to see if people pull of the glitch intentionally for the instant DQ.
This isn't exactly on topic to the video but does anyone if Desk has a collection of his music for download or purchase? If not he should make a soundtrack and put it on itunes, I'd rock the hell out of his music. The song from the "things to come video" was freakin awesome.
@Grove03
That's the stupidest thing to do. You are trying to force ideals on legitimate gameplay and strategies against a game-breaking glitch; not an infinite nor overpowered character, but a GAME-BREAKING glitch that stops the match until time out.
Sure, Zero has poor health, but so do Amaterasu and Akuma, so the question is... how are you going to deplete that health? No assist? That's taking away an integral strategy already built and intended for the game. You act as if everyone plays Zero the same way, think that you can bread and butter the same tactic all the time to win, think that you can waste 5 Hyper Bars for chip damage, think that you can X-Factor and chip in damage for kill.
Face it. That needs to be patched. Online play is going to suck for a while. During any form of tournament and if no patch is done, the best solution is give players caution about Zero's Shadow Clone + Snap Back glitch and disqualify players for creating that glitch during gameplay. We don't want to waste time making do-overs on matches nor giving disputable wins to players who perform the glitch especially if done in less than 5 seconds of the match. This is why Capcom should have released spectator mode to further analyze situations.
@xxxplizit
Dude, did I even mention anything about me being against the patch within my two sentence comment? This is simply a solution one can do until something is done about it.
This is not impossible to stop. The main thing to do against this glitch is to take caution. Almost everyone who played mvc2 just spam assists carelessly and it is being passed over to mvc3.
This glitch takes two people to do, don't just blame everything all on the zero player. 50% goes to the zero player for performing it and the other 50% goes to the opponent for carelessly spamming assists.
@grove03
Better players will simply combo to Snap Back instead or better yet not whiff Snap Backs recklessly to begin with let alone waste 2 Hyper Bars to get a Snap Back.
You can't simply accuse players for reckless assist spamming; reckless mis-assisters will lose anyways. In higher levels of play where you don't deal with massive scrubs, at most is a 50% health deplete on 1 assist, but NEVER a game-breaking glitch that ends matches instantly.
The idea of simply No Assist while Zero is in play at all is not a good solution at all; it gives the Zero player a huge exploited rule-advantage with him being able to have access to assists unless it's a Zero Vs. Zero match.
As said before, the matches sadly needs to be on heavy watch during tournaments and let players know that the Zero Glitch exists (if unpatched) and let people know that Shadow Clone + Snap Back must be used with extreme caution that if they perform the glitch even accidentally, they lose that round. Otherwise, they have to make a decision on who wins the match, and basing it on the remaining health is extremely biased; MvC3 is notorious for one-character comebacks unlike MvC2. Redos would make the tournament drag too long.
Gomen Ne!
