GamePro: Street Fighter Legacy still getting made

Street Fighter: Legacy, a fan made short which featured the talents of Joey Ansah and others, got a lot of publicity when it was released back in May of 2010.

The main video has received over 2.7 million views on YouTube and multiple stories about this project and what went into it were ran. Things have been relatively quiet for awhile though, so GamePro got a quick blurb from Ansah about where the project stands.

Despite all the work that went into that and juggling other video game voice work and motion capture opportunities, Ansah still found time to finish the script for the Legacy series and work on a business plan to present to potential investors (and to Capcom). He told us if he had both funding and license, he could shoot the rest of the series in just five months.

"It's something that has to be made one way or the other," he said. So even though we haven't heard anything from him in 10 months (that wasn't a Chino voice over, that is), we can still count on Legacy.

Speaking of Chun-Li, Jackie Chan plays the role better than any other actor IRL, as proven by this video:

I already like Street Fighter Legacy and if they make it as a series then I'd enjoy it to the fullest.

omg, the reactions to hits/blocks are terrible. Watch the guys from Thousand Pounds, that made the other SF-short.
Though, these guys have better customes, and the rainy portraitshots at 2:28 are good, infact the best part :)

Not that these aren't cool there awight but would it be to hard to ask 4 a new SF anime series or movie (if possible better than sf2 TAM but that's a HUGE if cause that movie is still the best) at least consider it capcom.

People are endorsing SF:Legacy because it's much better than how the directors of the first cheesy Street Fighter and Legend of Chun-Li portrayed it by a longshot. They aren't there just for the cash cow few minutes of fame.

The Street Fighter storyline IS corny and lame, bad guy after uber power, good guy is all like "Nah man, Love is real power" or something.

And I wouldn't want it any other way :P
