This note was also added in the video description.
The next MvC3 vid features something that will definitely be banned at tournaments and/or patched out. If you've subbed already, you rock. If you haven't, you totally should!
Why do people find game-breaking things entertaining? When you release this kind of thing to the public it does nothing but breed idiots who use it to gain the upper hand. The game was not made to be a glitch canvas, this is not Smash, and while many of us understand that this is simply for fun many more take exploits to heart. Don't misunderstand my post either, I'm not complaining about the entire Viper video, (although Wolvie landing on air is stupid) I'm complaining about this trend of racing to discover the next bug or glitch. Hate on me all you like for expressing my opinion, I could care less because I know those who don't respect what I say, whether they agree with it or not, have nothing constructive to add.
ok just found out why DESK is saying that this combos might be illegal...
the 2nd and 3rd combo with Dante and Akuma is definitely infinite, the last part combo with Arthur and Haggar has a 3rd re-launch combo and the last part combo with Magneto has a 4th re-launch combo just by herself alone, her Thunder Knuckle and Burning Kick has a long stun properties, and it looks like his prolonging his air combo by canceling neither the Burning Kick, Thunder Knuckle, Super Jump in air?
pretty sure he's talking about the next video. these combos are kosher
so i lost track of how many 100% combos there were in that video o.O
I don't understand how Desk always find glitches and bugs. I haven't seen one yet during game play or training. Nice skills btw
I wonder if capcom will do something
about the balance issues in this game.
Though they may either patch the game
or remove or suspend desks account. hope not...
@Rafael2487 - Desk isn't modifying the game or using any hacks to do anything illegal. I don't think we have to worry about anything like that happening :).
I agree with what some others before me said. I'm glad he's finding stuff early on so that hopefully Capcom will take notice of it.
@ Crimson Claw, game wasn't made to be a glitch canvas? Are you joking? Did you ever play MvC2? WIth these games they are so quirky and there is so much freedom that broken stuff is always discovered.
Like I said before, Capcom should fire their whole team of game testers and hire Desk to find glitches (good and bad). Development (for any product) always has stages of testing. It's the simple initial, middle, and final testing before the final product is sent off for mass production. That's the common procedure in QC/QA in any industry. If these game testers, whose full time job is quality control, can't manage to find glitches that Desk can find, well that tells you something about these "game testers" working for Capcom. I'm very curious about what Desk found in the next video that might be banned or most likely patched in the next update.
C. Viper is like Desks dream girl, shes so technical but has so much flexibility.
I've been maining her since a little after the game came out, her OTG abilities are just... just yummy.
@23 the hundreds or thousands of hours that go into testing are nothing compared to the millions that go in from the community. Of course the community will find things that the game team missed.
Making repeated one frame links look easy. Desk is crazy.
It made be that Gambit glitch that he is talking about.
@26
Except Desk seems to have discovered those bugs all by himself. It's not like there were any reports prior to his that you could stick someone's face in the floor with Spencer, nor has anyone else posted Wolverine hitting the floor in mid air.
In this case, #23 is right in comparing the hundreds of hours from the game testers with just whatever Desk has put in.
@17
My team has been X-23, C. Viper, and Morrigan from day one and yes, Dark Harmonizer is a perfect assist for the meter hogging of Viper (and in general, building meter while everyone tries to zone is awesome.) Granted that Desk did do some-well, a lot-of 100% combos I don't think it's worth nerfing. A lot of them use 3+ bars of meter whereas other characters can be just as threatening with less.
@27
I learned a good deal as well watching these but I'm taking into account Desk's gdlk execution. I don't think I'll be able to hit the 1-frame cancel in succession like that, but he does highlight interesting properties on some of her aerial attacks. I wasn't really liking Viper's air game at all, but this convinced me to spend more time in the lab with her.
Banned combos. Hmmn, must be the one that freezes your opponent in place whilst you go to town on them.
