Check out the press release below explaining a bit more about the tournament and the sponsorship.
The CEO 2011 Fighting Game Championships have just announced some top players and guests coming to Disney World in Orlando, Florida this summer.
EG.Justin Wong, Gootecks, Mike Ross, Flash Metroid, DMG.PR Balrog are some of the high level names already confirmed to be attending CEO 2011. All the action will be streamed by Team Sp00ky of IPlayWinner, June 10th-12th, showcasing over 8 different fighting games.
With the $2,500 prize pot payout for both Super Street Fighter 4 and Marvel vs. Capcom 3, having a top 8 cash payout + EVO Seeding points, it’s going to be a great weekend down by Disney World. The venue alone has over 18,000 sq ft of gaming space with a DJ booth provided by DJ Milez as well as over 40 setups on lag free EVO monitors provided by expcon.org.
EventHubs.com is happy to announce that they are one of the event's leading sponsors for prize money, and had this to say about the tournament.
"Alex (GoogleMyName) Jebailey has been helping to cultivate a strong fighting game tournament scene in Florida, and CEO 2011 looks like it's going to be a terrific event. I am happy to be able to help sponsor this tournament and I think it's going to be an awesome competition.
What Alex was able to pull off in such a short period of time with CEO 2010 was really good, but he's really upped the ante this year with EVO seeds and attracting some top names in our community."
Trust me, guys, you aren't gonna wanna miss this tournament. It's being held at the HUGE Wyndham resort in Orlando, it's beautiful, spacious, and is air conditioned like a motherfcker! With the line-up as stacked as it is, it's only going to get sicker by June. Hope to see you guys there =)
Why is Tatsunoko not even a side game on this list? Poor game never gets the slightest bit of attention simply because it's not Marvel.
But it's better than Marvel.

At CEO 2010 I had TvC as one of the main tournaments, with even all of my promoting to all of Florida only 6 people entered TvC. Since then no one has ever mentioned any interest at all. That is why it is not a part of the event this year. And the poor game doesn't get attention not because of Marvel or other fighting games, but because No HardCore Fighters wanted to buy another system without TE's available for the mass market just to play one good fighting game. If it was on PS3/360 then it would be a totally different story.
I'm liking the 3rd Strike and CVS2 love. Also, great choice in music. Gonna be hype.
... I just cried, this is sponsored by Eventhubs and its even in my hometown, but Im working in Europe now. FML
Orlando that's great! its too bad about tvc because that game is so good.

I couldn't go to final round but I'll make it to this
This is great to see!!.. Florida will FINALLY get some good recognition all due to GoogleMyName and the hard work. Catalyst good sh!t
mvc3 on the ps3 seems to have some odd frame rate issues, that could be the reason. Hopefully capcom patches it or something cause the random slowdowns are getting annoying >:(
I host monthly Tournaments all the time in Orlando Just follow me on Facebook.com/googlemyname or ceogaming.org. Have a CEO Barfights March 19th.
I have personally played MvC3 on both PS3 and 360 and I notice some seriously slowdown when playing PS3 so From personal Preference the 360 is the smoother version. Also a big factor is the fact I have access to way more Xbox 360's then I do PS3's.
I'd rather throw a tournament where I have access to over 30 setups going at once than compared to just 10 which triples the amount of time to run a tournament.
Thanks everyone for the Support.
This is going to be mad hype.
