Okay here we go! Time to study more of Justin. Already took his ammy combo ; )
Its kind of amazing sometimes how little these announcers know about the actual characters.
PR Balrog says he hates the game, yet for all it's faults, has gotten pretty good at it. Placed Top 5 in this tourney, so I wonder if he's starting to come around.
Really stoked for Final Round. Can't wait to see how Tokido fairs in this game.
@2 That combo, I believe is in the Brady games guide, so not really "Justin's" combo.
ammy has no comeback factor? like really? is he on crack? ammy is a BEAST when ammy gets in she does some DAMAGE great rush down decent damage how is that NOT a comeback character the only weakness is her hp but thats not that much of a problem when she can rush down AND keep away
I bet Justin is happy that Daigo and Gamerbee don't play this game and that he can fill his pockets back up with tournament money.
#12 Typical Justin Wong hater. I think you just have to realize he is just that good. He would have been the best MVC2 player ever even if Daigo or Gamerbee had played that game. Is Daigo better as SF? Yes. But that doesn't mean he's going to own Justin at MVC.

"Typical Justin Wong hater."
Yeah...
"He would have been the best MVC2 player ever even if Daigo or Gamerbee had played that game."
You lost your reason right there. How do you know they wouldn't be better than Justin. Now you are just as much a typical hater as #12. lol
How so? They had their opportunity to play the game, and they didn't so there is no way that you can say that they are better.
And until we see them play and win at MVC3, you can't say that they would be better either. People are speaking in assumptions based on Street Fighter, which plays nothing like MVC.
I like Daigo and Gamerbee (although I'm tired of watching Daigo win). I just don't see the point in trashing Justin Wong out of the blue with statements that have no factual basis.
@#18
lol what year was that? Just more well known since the age of youtube and streams >_>
I can't comprehend how Justin is so good. It's just a video game, what does he have that everyone else doesn't? Not just randoms like me, but other pros as well. It's not like a sport where physical limitations can hold you back. So why is he such a cut above everyone else?
@16 Maybe cause Justin dominated MvC2 for nearly a decade and they don't really have a an established community over there for MvC.
Ninja to the rescue for his asian idols
I want to see Justin Wong play Hsien-Ko, Spencer, and MODOK. It looks like literally nobody is playing them.
@17: The point isn't that he is saying Gamerbee or Daigo would have been better than Justin at MvC2. The point he is trying to make is that speculating about who would have been better doesn't do anything. The fact of the matter is they didn't play the game, therefore speculating one way or another is pointless. You can't say for sure that they would have been better, and you can't say they would have been worse; neither side has any proof behind it.

Childish pretencious post based on the nickname. An internet classic. Congratulations, kid. Hope you had fun.
What I said can't be touched since it's not even an opinion but a fact pointed out. So, you can try again if you want. You will fail again. Sorry.
And the fact that I use Ninja as my nickname will not change that, and will not change how unbiased my post was. Too bad for you.
^ You make no sense what-so-ever. Your logic is flawed in so many ways.
Let's just face facts, Daigo and Gamerbee is good at street fighter, but Marvel is Justin Wong's game. They [Daigo and Gamerbee] will never beat Justin Wong.
Awwww man... The Zero+Doom was MINE!! Now I gotta change my team cuz everyone's gonna try to copy this haha. Zero+Hulk? Yeaaaa... Zero+Hulk now. lol
#21, I agree 100%. When tekken 6 came out they had a bestbuy tournament for a free copy. I got to the semi finals where I almost beat suiken (who had the game about a year b4 hand in japan). Justin Wong is just known, that's all. There are many talents out there in every field whether it's singing, basketball, or gaming etc. Not everyone goes to tournaments. Not everyone cares. I bet some top online players can give Justin a run for his money. Whatever... I'm just saying.
@#33
probably cause she cant cancel her ground dashes, low mobility overall and the armored pendulum thing seems to be the only thing going for her. On point once again the pendulum move is like her only goto move for everything. granted it is good seeing how you can get some nasty cross over things happening into full combos.
TLDR: she has one of the best abusable assist with her armor and is more valuable to the team than being on point.
@27 Its not a pretentious attack based on your nickname. It's based on your post history.
No your argument is not fact. Justin has already proved himself in MvC2 and shows he's still one of the best in MvC. Your argument of saying you don't know if Daigo or Gamerbee wouldn't be just as good is like me saying I would be the best in every game I don't play if I actually played them. The guy that made the statement was making a positive statement. Its not true unless you provide evidence that they can be good at MvC3, so its not wrong to say Justin would still be the best because thats the status quo. Oh and maybe if didn't notice MvC and SF are two different games. So how exactly could you say that Daigo or Gamerbee would be just as good when they haven't proved it. P.S. I guess you can't say I'm worse then Daigo because I've never played him so you can't disprove it, hows that for your weird "fact".
Lol at she-hulk's win quote at the end of the 2nd vid. Never saw that before. makes me wish she was revealed alongside Phoenix Wright himself for a lawyer battle.
makes me laugh that in the 2nd vid they think tron is only good as an assist and not a point character. all more reason why justin won w/ his teams this tourny because they havent seen what people on the west coast players like clakey d/floe/justin/etc w/ tron on point.
@40
I'm pretty sure it was Clockwork who had her on his team. i remembered i squealed with joy when i saw that. and of course he's playing another high risk, high reward character, Phoenix. cant wait to see his team in action more.
On the subject of Jwong, he's godly. not only for his talent but the fact he's composing the most random teams and still beating people left and right.
I don't think JWong's teams are random at all. He did mention in that pre-WB5 interview that he feels team synergy is very important, if you look at how well his characters complement each other during his rushdown, that certainly seems to be the approach he's taken.
Akuma's tatsu assist helping Wolverine with instant overhead setups and extending juggles,
Tron Bonne's flame assist coupled with She-hulk jump or cr. mixups,
Doom beam assist for Zero, and Amaterasu as an alternate point character because both he and Zero have pretty low health.
Most people may have just gone around looking for "what's broken"? and so ended up with Sent or Phoenix, or "what's cool" and ended up with Dante. JWong has clearly put a lot of time in the lab, and unlike the average combo warrior he's obviously put in a lot of time thinking about how his teams will work together. (Incidentally, he did mention that with his new job he has a lot of time to just think about MvC3 while idle.)
Justin's team is about synergy but he is also counterpicking lol though most people wouldn't know it. Ammy's full screen hyper and decent rushdown coupled with assist is for maintaining and locking down Storm and her runaway keep away strategy. And if storm decides to do a run away hyper (the one with the rocks or whatever they are) then all he has to do is counter it with Ammy's full screen hyper. Zero is just for annoyance in long blockstrings to keep an opponent locked down....and he is also for your basic pressure strings into crossover nonsense. When it comes to Dante I don't think he has a counter pick yet because of how good he is it really relies on the player alone. Justin was just pressuring the guy until he tried to escape but the guy kept falling for the easy airthrow again and again for an easy combo setup repeat. Not one of his opponents has a solid defense plus in addition to that they were advanced guarding at the wrong times thus relooping themselves back into the same blockstring and then once Justin saw that he was just applying mixup with grabs here and there until they started to try to escape and repeat above strategy with air throw until dead lol.
good stuff right there :)
