The color guides for Ryu, Dante, Chris Redfield, Captain America, Iron Man and Thor were all updated to show the new alternative costume that's selectable for each fighter, if you decided to purchase the first alternative DLC costume pack for Marvel vs. Capcom 3. It sells for $5 on PSN or 400 Microsoft points on Xbox Live.

Unless I'm missing something, there's just one color available for each costume.
I tried multiple button combinations, cycling through the character's model viewer, everything I could think to try off hand. Only one color per each new alt. costume.
Alt. costume selection is first come, first served. Other person gets the default color/outfit if they pick after wards.
Sorry, won't be buying any alts for this game.
Oh and Capcom, take a tip from Tecmo and Namco, which puts many, many alt costumes in the game by default.
Charging for alt costumes is just sad. How about some more stages or a freaking spectator mode for goodness sake?!

No alt colors is just weird...Why would they do that? That really devalues the extra costumes.

How is it sad? They're just alt costumes, they have zero impact on the game. Quit being a baby about them, if you don't want them, just don't buy them. You won't be missing out on anything by simply doing that instead of crying online as if Capcom just murdered your only child.
I've always been supportive of costumes up until now, they're completely cosmetic and have absolutely no impact on gameplay yet people complain about ¢AP¢OM nickel-and-diming, but it's kind of lame how you can't even use what you paid for if the other guy uses it first. I mean, there's a TEAL CAPTAIN AMERICA for goodness sake, I don't think the maintaining 100% of the costume design's integrity is imperative. Maybe Capcom needs to wait for Marvel's approval on alternate palettes, like they needed to with the default costumes?
I wonder who the next 6 characters will be as far as alt costumes go. Marvel has a serious history of costume switches to pull from, Capcom surprised me w/ SF1 Ryu & SparDante.

They look great and I want them but sucks that there's no colors, they could've atleast give us more characters to have costumes to cover the missing colors.

I like what they did though,Dante's and cap are awesome, iron patriot is cool,Chris's uniform is different for those who like em, original Thor is nice but Original street fighter 1 Ryu is awesome.
I wonder what Amy's will be maybe they might make her look like her daughter in okamiden, and I hope they give us average Joe rather than that mecha space suit.

costumes ok but the shadow modes kinda weak now but oh the potential it has to bring us i mean there tester is easy to beat but gives a decent fight and i love my new titles thanks cap

Beat the shadow modes all once. Only the QA game e trouble but I just played cheap.
Also those comparing costumes to tekken games. You do realizeto get these features it takes many many years of development. We would'nt have gotten the game now if they took the time to make a robust dressing room for a fighting game for each character plus DLC???. And by the way, most people really don't care about costumes. I still havent bought the Ultra packs.

They could have at least make 1 alternate costume so both people can pick what they paid for. If you put the computer on hard they fight better than the shadow mode guys. But it was free so can't complain. Hope they add Justin Wong on there.

On the costumes, has anybody tried going Devil Trigger with Dante's alternate? I don't play DMC, so I don't know the significance, but he looks different.
complete lack of value on this costume pack compared to the SF4 ones. No alt colors = fail and if you look at the costumes on the srk hyper guide for each character, they hardly look any different model-wise next to the stock ones. So grats to those who paid $5 for a color pallete reskin with no extra modeling done by capcom whatsoever. Look at Chris Redfield's for example.If all 6 were at least "different" from the stock model like cappy and dante I might have even considered them even with no alt colors.

It's a shame there are no alt colors. Should have atleast a pair of them, so player 2 can use it as well. Not worth the cash IMO.
lol just paying for a 5th color, it gets treated like one in terms of who it gets displayed too. Believe if you pick the same color on both side online you will see what you picked and the opponent will appear to have a different color although on there screen its vice versa. Just sucks when you and a group of friends are playing it on the same console....good thing none of my friends pick iron man, cap america or thor and i dont pick the other 3 so it works out in that regard.
But not atleast one palette swap color is lame it is understandable that the originals colors where aimed at other official sources but they came in a group of 4s.

Not a big deal, I don't buy alts simply because very few interest me. Case in point the best costumes IMO are Guile's latest from Super and Vega's very first from Vanilla. No those aren't the only two I main/sub but it would be awfully retarded to shell out dough when only .1% aren't sucky. Oh and Cody's last costume was okay too.
So I bought these thinkin, you know what the heck I got the points, So I downloaded and during that download I noticed my RT button on my fight stick broke (again) and so I was like "Great, gonna have to refix that again, hasn't even been a week." So, I get to the game, just want to see the costumes in training mode and guess what button you need to wear it...
This is kind of important if you ask me, couldn't they just add one (1) more alternate color? I mean, if both the players paid for said costume, both of them should be able to use it.

There is something called Research, people need to stop spazzing on Capcom just because they didn't do research before purchasing the Downloadable Content. I can understand if you felt you've been cheated off your money beacause of what you didn't expected, but research is your first priority before you purchase.
On topic (ignoring the "feud" that's going on) it's pretty dissapointing that Capcom opted to put one color for the alternates. Maybe Marvel couldn't come up with a diffrent color scheme for their characters. Whatever reasons they have, the odds of me purchasing the outfits are slim to none (I say that because if/when they release the bundle, I would consider it.)
