LoL now not only do we have anti phoenix spidey tech, but we got anti dive kick technology as-well. Some of the less played characters are really good against phoenix, and wolvie. Captain america goes through all her fire balls, and his random supers catch her. His shield slash h stops her when she super jumps to fire ball. Super skrull destroys both as well.

Please remember that "good" Wolverines never dive without constant Akuma or Sentinel spam. Spider-man's kick defense is pretty worthless in those fights. You're much better off staying in the air, where you can out maneuver Wolverine.
I've been maining Spidey since day 1. His mk has more uses than just the c.mk anti-air. Ive used it against countless tri-jumps and dive kicks. Even against seasoned Wolverine players. In no way is it useless. Sentinel is a non-factor against spider-man. Thats bull.
I wanted to main Spidey on day one but I just didn't have the execution. Played around with him just last night looking to put together another team and instantly saw results with that bad ass medium kick! His jumping S is serious too! I gave up on him way too soon...Beat wolvie dive kick? Possible (though highly imporbable)anti-Phoenix? I'll take two!
when he does spiderman combos he really looks like a spider attack its prey lol. yeah i tried using him just couldnt handle those top tier characters people use
spiderman duznt even need that to beat out wolverine. just get in with air H or S with an airdash n its a free combo right there. just make sure to call an assist. its funny how wolverines just spam the dive kick and not even think about the possiblities of punishment.
Spider-man's still lacking too many things. I've been trying him out and having fun with him, but if I'm playing to win then I'll stick with Spencer.
