#1 That was me I'm the only person online that uses Hsien-ko. JK she is well underplayed though, but for good reason. Apart from a gdlk assist she isn't very threatening as a character.
So much work for damage that a Sentinel, Wesker, Wolverine, ect. player could do with ease.
Big respect to anyone who uses Morrigan as anything more than meter-building assist spam.
M.O.D.O.K is definitely the most uncommon character followed by Arthur. No caps needed.
Y'know, given how popular the Darkstalkers 'characters' seem to be, you have to wonder why they're all so damn terrible in this game.
You also have to wonder about a lot of other characters, like Ryu, Chun-Li, Captain America, Iron Man and Spiderman, are so terrible too. I guess every fighting game will have low-tier characters, but why they made people like Wesker, Sentinel and Taskmaster so good instead of the companies' mascots is a bit beyond me.
(Also, I LOVE Morrigan's jumping S; it looks like she's smacking her opponent with her own butt.)

I think that there are few of those ones because some online players (The new ones to fighting games) believe that there is "Honorable" fighting and you shouldn't spam the same move and you should fight up close.
The amount of rage I've created with Arthur lance + Doom missle assist, is more intense than the Incredible Hulk.
Chris G uses Ryu and wins tournaments. Chun Li is really good, but takes great execution. She still has the infinite. Captain America and Iron man I can agree. They take more work than most. Spiderman is really good with a cover assist like sentinel. Its not that they are bad, it's just people flock towards characters that are easier to use and requires less time to master (Instant Gratification). Most of the characters you named you have to play patient and you have to build your team around them.

Ive seen different people kick butt with Joe MODOK and Morrigan
@9: It's nice to hear that someone's using one of the poster children of fighting games (not sure that's the right term) with a modicum of success, but as for Chun-Li...why would anyone choose a character that requires more advanced button pressing and does less damage when you can pick Wolverine and dive-kick all day to victory? :(

Wolverine has ALWAYS had a dive kick in games and comics.
Dont act like it's some broken move they gave him like Rufus.
Plus his DK has different properties than the other person with a DK in MvC3 that they DID give for no reason...Trish.
X-23 is like Wolvie as well but her uses are different too.

@12 good point. Look at it from this perspective. Chun-li and characters similar to her that require great execution have more options. I agree it isn't for everyone, but people with great execution skills can take a character like her or c viper and create a lot more opportunities than they can with Wolverine.
Think about it wolverine is getting in two ways. Dive kick or berserk-er slash. Each can be punished. Chun-Li lighting legs beats both.
Thing is for common players we don't have enough time to learn great execution or advanced characters. So, most people pick characters easier to learn, but can still deal good amount of damage.

i can definitely vouch for captain america. My God when hes played correctly hes infuriating. you can't get in. He's almost untouchable.

My main team in MvC3 consists of all three Darkstalkers females.
Hsien-ko - pendulum assist
Felicia - Cat spike assist (to extend combos)
Morrigan - Shadow Blade assist (to catch offgaurd)
I can't do anything as fancy as this video, but I have gotten compliments on my team online.
Morrigan's fireball game is incredible when paired with astral vision, and even more so when paired with x-factor lvl 3.
One comment my friend gave me on my team was "Did you pick them all because you liked them or because they're right next to each other?" :P

Online I've only seen ONE person use her.
