yea i couldn't laugh at the tsunami thing. On the other hand it was cool to see combo fiend and Kai analyze it up.

It gives me joy to see that they admit to the simplicity of the current generation of games in comparison to the original standards. I am happy that not only I could see that change in styles for this era.

Awww. I wanted them to introduce themselves as Gootecks and Mike Ross and do the whole episode in shoddy impressions.

I don't think current games are simpler, what happens is that anything new you discover is up on youtube or forums in a few days for anyone to see. Back in the day you could surprise people with new strategies and shenanigans, and that's harder now. It penalizes creative players like Combofiend but I don't thin it't bad for the comunity as a whole.

on YT and other combo vids muse or help people overall yet at the same time they make people think pros are just copying YT.

Pros have to try that much harder to impress like P'ing on people or amazing comebacks. Not just combos.

Games nowadays ARE easier overall not because of YT but because game's creators concentrate on seperate things now.

BitD game creators only had to appease one person now they have to think about Online and Co-Op, DLC Demos and making them all smooth. So the core game suffers in some respect.

THAT is why the NDS is better for longer / core games. You get a great story and great gameplay.

@17 New games are easier but I guess some may say it depends on the series, mvc3 is WAY easier than mvc2. The SSF4 series is WAY easier than 3rd strike.

New games are easier is they target everyone. They dumb it down so that bad players won't ragequit the title. At the same time, it can be good enough for pro players to enjoy. It depends deeply on the design of the game.

The commands are dumbed down in SSF4 more so than other SF games but that doesnt even compare to how simple and boring MVC3 is in comparison to MVC2. btw i love me some SSF4. hard.

Nobody really cares about your thought on MvC3 or AE. These guys are both seasoned veterans in both games and it was pretty interesting to gauge their opinions.
