Ono talked a little shop on his Twitter account recently. Things are spoken with Yoshinori's own take on the English language, and of course he is known for trolling sometimes, but it appears these tweets are more of the straight-forward variety. Here's a run down.

Ono has already made it clear that Namco does not own the rights to Gon, so therefore, the Street Fighter team can't put him in. I would welcome the other two, though.
I dunno... I think Capcom's gonna really shock us (and I swear that's not a pun alluding to Cole).

No offense Catalyst, but regarding trollONO's way of speaking English I would like to see many people from the UK and US that post here do so in a second or third language and see how well they do.
In the rest of the world (yes, there are more countries than the British Isles, North America / Canada and Australia/New Zeland) people are not taught English as a primary language, so kudos to them for making the effort so that the other 5% of the world population who are too lazy can understand them.
Hell, at least the damn troll is making an effort to speak in English. I don't think it needs to be something that needs to be pointed out every time.

If Guy is in this game, INSTANT purchase! I don't know if they would do this, but Guy, Cody and Haggar would be great character choices! I vote for all 3! Isn't SFxT set in the future long after SF4? They could make Cody a reformed good guy again, back to fighting alongside Guy? DO IT CAPCOM!
SFxT is going to be a day one purchase, I'm sure, but I must say that I am worried about the guest characters they plan on adding. I guess one (Cole) is not too bad, but I would hate for this game to turn into Capcom X Namco.
Also, I wonder how many characters there will be in total. Anything less than AE will be considered a disappointment by many, considering the amount of potential characters from both franchises.
I also am curious to know how the PS3 version will interact with the PS Vita version.

Maybe and just maybe I am looking into this way to much but I remember Ono posted a picture of his little street fighter toys sitting on top of a Mortal Kombat 9 box. Now here me out on this people... What if it were Scorpion or Liu Kang who would be the next surprise guest reveal? I know a few folks here don't like MK9 but you can't doubt its popularity. Now obviously Liu Kang would be a better fit in this style game but more people will recognize Scorpion so that's just my thought. At this point they added Cole so nothing would really surprise me at this point.
judging by the last trailer..the next set of characters will be of course Asuka...as if we couldnt tell it was her under that hood..lol...Dhalsim..Steve fox...Lilli and its about time to get the fans hype..so i predict CAPCOM will give us a sneak peek at the big three..who r they u ask..JIN KAZAMA...HEIHACHI MISHIMA..AND Like always AKUMA..for some reason he's a big deal in the street fighter universe...but personally im hoping for BISON..they changed up CHUNLI controls so im hoping they do the same for Bison..just imagine doing the psycho crusher with a rotation..or even a half circle motion..victory shall be Bisons(villain laugh)!!!

it isnt the same sh*t. THe gameplay is alot different from sf4. Even if they drag and drop the whole sf4 cast they still have to rework all the moves/specials/supers. Capcom would be smart to keep there core cast and add extras here and there. When people make the jump to sfxtekken there gonna look for familiar faces. Or do u want another sf3? ryu ken and a bunch of characters nobody really cares about?

Rolento is a better character, youtube him. Elena sucked period, she was a low tier character that nobody bothered with in sf3. THeres too many characters that are better designed and more popular that deserve a slot first.

every time i see someone mention ingrid i wanna smack someone. SHE SUCKS JUST LIKE ELENA. If they left it to u people the whole cast would be school girls, bikini girls, poison, ryu,ken,akuma,evil ryu, shin akuma, playboy ken.

@55 Tiers weren't part of the argument. There's no way to tell how many people like her unless you ask every single SF fan in existence. I don't doubt that Rolento is more popular but what I was getting at is that your argument was subjective.
Was just pointing out how your argument seems based more on "I don't like this character" than "Here's a reasonable statement why".
There's plenty of SF3 fans and including a few characters outside of the all to predictable SF2 cast (not that theres anything wrong with them but a little variety is also good) may draw some other people to the game seeing their favorite character in it.

I want a cast that offers more variety, not just a bunch of shotos. I would add the rest of the ww's(zangief,blanka,honda,dhalsim), that gives us a grappler, 2 chargers and dhalsim would be a total wild card(he would prob be tweaked to play like he did in xmenvssf). U need bison as the sf boss character. So counting that along with wat was annouced we have 12. Now with the remaining 6-13 slots(this game really needs 50 characters) we take 2 to 3 of the better more unique characters from every sf series. Rolento and birdie, dudley and makoto, rufus and juri, etc. SO now u have ur main stays, u have ur variety and u have more then enough room for surprises.

Do u really think her design is strong enough to make the jump into sfxtekken? Without parrys, with overheads being slower? Not to mention the fact that this game wont play like traditional sf games? I mean she was barely decent, just barely in sf3. I dont feel like seeing another useless slot on my character select screen that could have went to a character with a more robust design.

Capcom has created way more polished characters than just the ones you stated that haven't seen the light in years.
Karin in Alpha3 was the furthest thing from a shoto.
Rolento was unique in his own way.
Elena... not so much but still, she was a polished character nonetheless.
that lineup you stated is just SSFIV with water graphics.
People want variety that was given in the many other amazing games Capcom created.
Not just a Copy/Pasta of SSll Turbo.
@63 That's how she played in SF3 though. The SF3 characters don't play the same in SF4 and I'm sure they wouldn't play the same in SFxT. By that logic Akuma should be broken in SF4 since he was in SF2.
The SF3 characters are starting to get more attention so how would using them (not even saying that many) for variety be a bad thing? Or is this just about Elena cause honestly I'd like to see Alex over any other SF3 character (which would make more sense since he is the main character of SF3)

U think there gonna go with an all new cast? Do u think that the bulk of the sf characters wont be from sf4? THink about it, as it stands now 4 out of the 8 ww's are in, along with cammy and sagat(more sf2), and u know what? u need them. Those are ur mainstays, thats ur bread and butter and thats why capcom went back to them when they wanted to jump start sf again and that wasnt because they couldnt event new characters. In my short 2 sec list i gave u ur "legacy" characters and gave alot of room for new ones. I doubt that capcom would be stupid to pull another sf3 and kill off the sf2 cast.
ANd also u have to consider that this is more then just a sf game. THis is capcoms attempt to market the game to the "tekken" players, why else would they go out of there way to make sure they can play on 4 buttons and that alot of the combos work in sfxtekken. So why would they go some wierd character like oro or necro when u have those tryed and true classic characters that started it all and also brought back the game 20 years later?
Im not saying copy paste, im just saying that capcom needs to stick with there guns. In the end the game will play alot different anyway, so its not gonna be like sf4.5, trust me i dont want that either.
