Tip from Saiferoth.
looks nice they must found the person who has never played a fighting game to play though
Wake me up when they rebalance it.
Sorry, Capcom, but I'm not putting down money for a decade old game with KNOWN balance issues if you're not even going to attempt to fix them. You can keep your achievements, challenges, trial mode, and other useless filler that nobody particularly cares about. If you're not going to actually update the game where it really counts, then I'll pass.
@5
Well to be fair,the guy playing is just doing something random,like he never played a SF game in his life.
I'm pretty sure there must be somebody at ign more qualified to demo SF3SO.
OT : well I'm gonna go with the classic filter,the HD filter makes everything look pretty ugly imo.
Scanlines ftw :P.

i was wondering. why do some early ssf4 ae arcade matches show CC+ or BBB or some kinda abnormal ranking? is that only in japan, or only in their arcades, or arcades period? does it carry over to consoles? so far, i havent seen anyone on ps3 ssf4 AE with an abnormal ranking.
Man I was excited when I saw Dudley, but then I pressed play and... lol
lol @ recording vs the computer, but like the description said it looks good, I cant wait to see how the game links up with youtube and will appreciate the video quality seeing as I only have a camera to record with lol.
Capcom never fails to amaze me by picking the worst, the WORST, players the world provides for any kind of gameplay video.
@12
Chun Yun and Ken are very common but it's not like MvC2 where the lower tiered characters were never used. There was more character diversity in the Japanese scene than there was in the American scene for the game.
The game looks great.
It's not really a big deal to have crappy players on a 3s demo, we've all seen it in action.
But the crappy players On the SFxT reveal was a Fail because it was the first live gameplay footage shown using New characters... Jump RH, RH sweep X100 started to spoil that hype.
@10 yeah i was always wondering that too and the title are there but those square icons arent there and also the zenny point system isnt there and those challenges ive seen i dont know i hope we can have this content
@10 Yeah it's arcade only. They use a different ranking system.
I don't even like this game, but dudleys theme is possibly the best streetfighter track ever made...and that's HIGH praise

Dudley's New Generation theme is the best SF track ever made. It even had Megaman X style SNES-Saxophone. His 3s theme is actually the worst one. I think it's strange that everything in the HD-filter is more blocky, but it still looks very pretty and the animation in the game was already superb and has been for the past 10 years. Can't wait to be able to play this game on my HD-TV without crazy input-lag.
I've always liked the music in SF III. What I'm wondering is if that the music you can unlock includes the themes from NG and SI. I know it has remixed themes, but having every song from the original two builds would be great.
@26
That totally explains it. IGN... (I'm being serious)
They never know HOW TO PLAY THEIR GODDAMNED GAMES!!! I mean, if you ever saw their SF4 demos or MvC3 demos, you'd commit suicide on the spot.
Well I guess soon it will be time to test if the world is truly ready this time for the advanced gameplay of thrid strike. I mean for the most part, I can see where people are coming from wanting rebalances but then again... What is the point.. I think they have been trying to work us up to this moment. I honestly believe just leave the game the way it is. For all we know SFV may be even more complex to play than this. And even if it is not, at least this will improve everyone's reactions and timings in street fighter gameplay. The street fighter IV series, as fun as it may be, is not as complex as third strike seemed/seems to be but, it would make sense since it seems in most cases as the games continue in the time line, the game's mechanics get more difficult (well at least in most cases). People can bring up the whole chun, yun, ken, etc issue and they in many cases are right, but, there have been players out there that seem to do just fine overcoming them with other characters. I thing in the end... A fighting game should always be about who is stronger than who, but more of your dedication to improve yourself and overcome the odds. Have fun fellow gamers ^__^
@ 9 then you must play Ken and he's just as bad as Chun and Yun, because he's WAY easier to use.
It's time for some old skool butt kicking, I started on sf2 but made pro on this lol loved the game more than ssf4! capcom u made my dream come true!
And btw guys, u only speak about rebalancing the game after you were introduced to online gaming, back in the days there was no such thing as balancing , u either learn the game or leave it. With all do respect to everyone, if u started playing the game since the early days you will understand what does it mean to "learn" the game. I approximately played every single version of SF including pocket fighter "lol" and I never saw an issue with any character. TO be honest, it is simply : choose a character and stick with it, if it was bad, PRACTICE!
Respect to you all
To all the people who ask for a rebalance for 3s...

All of these characters are very "low tier". But they manage to do very well. The reason is because 3S is more about the player than the character. If you are getting owned in 3s, you just need to improve. The game IS difficult, not because x character is better than another but because there's so many levels to the game in terms of skill. If you're losing it means you need to level up some more.
There are some very difficult matchups across the board: Hugo v Necro for example is like 7:3 in Necro's favor...but if you look at the first vid it shows that stuff like that can be overcome...it all just comes down to skill.
I've been playing 3s forever, so I can pretty confidently say that the game is more about the player than who you're playing as.
The game doesn't need to be dumbed down. It's like Demon's Souls: 3S rewards you for playing smart and skillfully, and makes you pay for being stupid. If you keep dying to something, it just means you need to work on your gameplay in that area. You can't just pick Chun/Yun/Ken and autowin. Trust me.
@UAEfighter post # 33
I totally get what you're saying. In fact, I started playing sf2 and got into sf4 cause it brought back memories from my childhood and even that, I'm not even complaining about rebalance. I think it honestly has to do with the age group and generation. This generation does nothing but complain and have their parents do everything for them. Just leave it, they'll never understand.
@SF4fanboy post #35
EXACTLY! At least there is an old skOol gamer in the forums, let me remind u of the arcade old times combo. Jumping H.K, sweep lol still annoying dude I tell ya.
Thanks for the post bro. RESPECT TO ALL THE OLD SKOOL STREET FIGHTER OUT THERE.
3S is outdated, and quite frankly I don't see it outshining AE. The roster straight up sucks compared to SF4.
Von_Kunlun_BOOF
There's one guy at the office who plays MVC2 at tournament level but I'm not sure exactly what everyone is complaining about it's just to show off gameplay against the computer, you know you don't play anywhere close to your 100% against a computer.....do you?
@2
Dude. Have you seen all the extras and options they put in this freakin' game? It blows HDR out of the water, in terms of content.
I disagree UAE and s4 fanboy. I started out playing fighting games on arcades even before sf2 came out. I had stopped playing games and started playing again when my younger brother started playing s4.
I personally couldn't careless about balancing. But if a fault in terms of balance is found in the game, players have the right to complain. Not all new school players are whiners either my 18 year old brother has been playing the game for 2 years. The only thing I've ever heard him complain about is the excessive amount of shotos.
The only thing that annoys me about so many new school players is the uniform way in which they play. It's like alot of them learnt to play using some copy and paste template. I don't remember it being like that back in the day.
Peace.
@31 (re: Akuma's winpose)
The "vibration" effect you speak of is him alternating between two different frames at 60 FPS. Unfortunately, Youtube reduces their uploads to 30 FPS so we get to see half of the animation, which looks like him frozen.
This same phenomena is also responsible for solid or invisible attacks (like lasers) that should be "flickering". Capcom LOVED this effect in the '90s.especially for electric attacks, and Youtube absolutely slays it.
this would be awesome if it wasn't just a dude twirling the stick and pressing buttons
