I could see Oni's game evolving quite a bit, wouldn't be shocked if he turned out to be way up there in the tiers.
If I do get this game again, he will probably be my secondary next to Dudley. Seems to be a very fun shoto to play, with some really interesting aspects to him as well as potential.
Need to book mark this for reference. Absolutely monstrous these combos are. Learn a lot of new things
Disclaimer being I have only played the game a few times so far, don't own it yet, so me saying I wouldn't be surprised if he turned out to be great is just going off of what I have seen and the tools he seems to have.....I could be overlooking weaknesses that maybe I just don't know about.

like, all of his DP's wont FADC if blocked? I guess you could get around that, but that does kinda suck. Guess I will just have to be careful x) how about his EX upper? Can that FADC on block?

No, EX DP can't be FADC'ed either, but has real quick recovery once his feet hit the ground. Either way no safety on the DP's, it's all in every time. ^^
Man what a sick video, I knew there was some setups with air tatsu after "air dash", nice to see some!. I really enjoyed this, Oni was the most interesting character in AE to me and seeing this makes me want to get back into training mode with him.
I was also surprised to see that U1(air version) combo, sooo sick!

From day 1 Ive said Oni has the potenial, Eita is showing that nicely.
They explained the FADC shoryu before somewhere. Basically, on hit, Oni will do a gut punch with his back to the camera, then follow through the 2nd hit by turning toward the camera into a shoryuken. However, if they block (or if you don't connect the gut punch) Oni will not turn toward the camera.
The only time you can FADC is when Oni starts his 2nd hit of the shoryu after he turns toward the camera. So if they block and you don't see his face, it's considered mid-air I believe so you can't fadc.

I still wouldn't be surprised though if he turned out to be really good though, not fei yun or yang status, but really good.
how are Oni's pokes? I know he has command moves for every normal, but how is his crouching med. kick and sweep? Just out of curiosity
