Capcom's Yoshinori Ono stated that the visuals in the upcoming release of Street Fighter X Tekken on Sony's new portable, the Vita, will closely match those on the PlayStation 3 platform, recently on EuroGamer."Right now, because we haven't finished tuning and optimizing everything, the frame rate occasionally will stutter," Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono told Eurogamer.
"We're looking to fix that. But the actual visuals themselves, the actual textures and everything, look pretty much identical.
"It's virtually a one-to-one match at this point."
Many sites are also claiming that the game will feature cross platform play with the PS3, although no official word has been made on that end by either Capcom or Sony — there have been hints pointing in that direction, stating the game will offer a "new experience" and that it would allow gamers to utilize the "PlayStation family connected together."
I agree with #4
and to #1 dude! if the PlayStation Vita can handle games like Uncharted and Metal Gear Solid, you know damn well it can handle SFXT.
This is mostly marketing nonsense.
The game WON'T be one to one. There will definitely be a downgrade to just about everything.
The Vita is a hell of a machine but to think it's capable of PS3 power is just retarded as hell.
Also, I highly doubt cross platform play. Even if they did it would be so one sided that there would be no point to having it.
@knuxpyro56
very deep comment,full of wisdow and objectivity,really bravo!
@13-Thank You.
@14-OK i wont prick but its true that PS3 gets more and sometimes better exclusives than Xbox.
console exclusive characters are pretty ridiculuous. no one even bothers using them end of the day. plus a lot of the characters they put in dont even fit into the series, like cole for example doesn't at all fit into sf or tekken, whereas darth vader & yoda make no sense being in soul calbur. if they're gona add exclusives, at least add someone who fits in. take mk for example who actually added a guest character dat fits into their series.
I'm a ps3 owner, so I'm a little biased.
While they are both great systems and each have strengths in different areas. I like ps3 better because it has better exclusives. And built in BluRay.
Uncharted, GOW, Metal Gear, Little Big Planet! You can't beat this line up.
they mest up by putting in ugly crap character with crappy american boring designs in a sf game... with awesome designs
Chun the fact is this year in terms of exclusives Sony is whooping Microsoft pretty hard and Microsoft has basically focused on the Kinect only games while Sony not only focused on PS3 but Move compatible games as well as great Vita backing with Kojima pre-E3, basically announcing that he's thinking of using his new "transfaring" process especially with the VIta in mind as the plan goes along further. Nintendo while having a great showing with a few suprises (Luigi's Mansion 2, Smash bros 4, massive 3rd party support for Wii U with) are kinda playing catch up and most of their big news for Wii U(M-rated 3rd party games and of course Arkham City) are games coming out for the other systems.
@#7
You make it sound as if SfxT was using that much power from the ps3 or 360 anyway . It's hardly as taxing as the best looking games of each consoles .
look at sf4 on 3ds ... it's a downgrade indeed , but the quality on the port makes me believe , that given the apparent gap between 3ds and vita , sf4 would be pulled easily both vita as a perfect port .
Same goes for for a better but still close enough SFxT .
Splendid gonna get this too. The PSVita better have high specs to handle the same value of SF x Tekken on PS3.
