Mago signs with Mad Catz, DMG picks up Perfect Legend

Another player has joined Daigo Umehara on Team Mad Catz — Mago, The 2D God. Mago hails from Japan and hasn't traveled to a lot of American tournaments over the years, but with this signing, we'll be seeing more of him in the future.

Also, Dominion Method Gaming signed Perfect Legend, who's been making an impact in tournaments as of late.

DMG also brought in Mad Catz as an official sponsor.

Mad Catz has been an incredibly strong supporter of the fighting game community, often lead by MarkMan, attending events and working really hard on our behalf, and it's awesome to see them continuing to offer lots of support.

Thats Daigo's title Before properly being called a progamer[12]from signing a sponsorship deal with MadCatz,[13]Japanese media usually referred to Umehara as "God of 2D fighting games" (2D格闘ゲームの神 "2D Kakutou Game no Kami"). Mago is Mago, Daigo is, The BEAST and God of 2d fighters Mago looks up to umehara 97% of japanese players do.

Really? You're gonna make this such a big deal? I'm pretty sure Mago doesn't see himself as THE 2D god, but just found it as a fun title that he decided to use.

Beside, Daigo is one of The Five Gods. The other 4 are Nuki, Nitto, Haitani and Kindevu I think.

I think Tokido might be one of the Five Gods as well, but I don't remember if Nuki or Kindevu isn't then.

Mago calls himself "2D god" was originally because he's an anime/manga mania. (Rumors have said that he owns a lot of "doujinshi" in his house, that's what I heard from a japanese player.) Although he's been known as one of the best fighting game players, he was already being called 2D god before the community knows him.

Yes, my bad. Kindevu wasn't in there, but I do remember Mester talking about Nitto in another video that cccloner999 uploaded, so I got them mixed up. =P

Im not hating on them but that name is too much.

Thats like saying that song was a whimsical one! lol.

Im sorry but hearing this makes the hair of the back of my neck stand up and feel embarrassed for the ones that say it.
