Speaking with NowGamer.com on the E3 show floor, Capcom's Seth Killian had an interesting line about the way things work behind the scenes. “Well, things change at Capcom all the time frankly. It’s a matter of internal focus and planning. Saying what’s next for us in fighting games, where do we want to have our energy, our key staff working on games and things like that.
The thinking was, we’re going to set down Street Fighter IV and let it ride with Arcade Edition. But of course, things change all the time at Capcom, so if Arcade Edition does very well, I’m sure there will be some guy in a suit somewhere saying “you need to do this again!” and we’ll be back here talking again. But that’s a-okay with me.”

Oh Goodness please don't do another one i would personally like it but it would'nt be good marketing wise cuz people are going to be too tired of buying the same game 4 times. if you really wnt to impress people just add more characters instead of a brand new game if that's what you want

SFxTekken looks cool tho BUT it's not really a SF game,since it got the ABC-attacks + launcher button (from what I gathered from the Mike Ross video).
I'm not bashing on SFxTekken tho,im sure I'll love it but I also like my classy-SF mechanics too.
And I'm sure SSF4AE addon takes less time than SF5,so bring on the addon.
Still,I'm sure Capcom is expecting AE to be good and I'm sure there are still 2 characters coming.

Didn't we make this mistake years ago capcom? Make the same game over and over and over? Completly watering down the experience is what killed the industry 15 years ago. God, greed really blinds people sometimes.

Yeah they "might" come back to ssf4, just like they weren't doing ae as dlc. Capcom just says thing to see how people respond then acts off of it. Ssf4:Ae 2.0 will be here soon.
Well, now I sure as hell won't get AE. I've bought the previous two iterations of the game, only to learn a third has been released and now SF4 Four is being considered. No thanks, I can wait.
Of course they will grab any chance to get more cash from it but i sincerely hope any more development into the SF IV universe is reserved exclusively for DLC content such as new stages, a couple more characters and that's all. With SF X T coming out they need to keep their promise of not letting us all wait for another 7-8 years for a brand new SF game and if they add even more content into the IV franchise they risk falling into the trap of releasing SF V and failing to impress with its content and evolution over IV
More Characters and a few mores stages would be cool later on. I enjoy the new characters and would like to see SSF4AE taken one step further.
To those talkin about SF5, umm its a little early for that dont ya think? haha. There was about a ten year gap between SF3 and SF4. I know there were other iterations of the franchise but still its been two years since SF4 and a little more than one for Super SF4, plus Capcom is workin on SF3online and Street Fighter X Tekken. Plus who knows what else their workin on.
So I'd be totally stoked to see a bit more tweeks to AE and two more characters. No matter who those characters are(if it happens) It'll be a great addition. They cant add shotos cause theres enough, evil ryu now being my better character than Akuma, so it'd be cool to see another grappler or somethin.
That sound cool keeps not only the series fresh but if done correctly it won't go down the roads of RawvSD, COD, or Madden where you have to blast 60 bucks a year (I still don't see how people do this) new stages and character still hope.
Cool, I like the engine. There are lot of people who are playing ssf4ae more than anything else and they will be for a long time. I, at this point, cannot imagine a solid fighter better than ssf4ae. So just update with more costumes, more stages, couple of new fighters. Why not.
The Street Fighter IV series of games have been great. And quite honestly, I can't see any fighter ever taking Street Fighter's throne.
The more characters Capcom add to the roster, the better. More characters means more choice. More choice means happier people who can find a character that they enjoy using without having to worry that the majority are using him/her. When Super came out, I started using Makoto. Regardless of her being considered rubbish at the time, I continued playing her because I enjoyed it.
As soon as a tier list comes out, people start jumping on 'bandwagons' and playing supposed higher tier characters. Just enjoy who YOU play. Don't change characters because you want to follow everyone else.
I'd support Capcom in bringing even more content to SUPER SF AE. Bring more and I will buy it. Why? Because it's a great game and you have to keep the momentum going.
@Roggin Champ, it's clear that nothing is even being speculated right now, let alone green lit. Furthermore, anything extra would just be cheap dlc so there's really no reason to wait.
@samurai, if 'rog doesn't feel so good then that's great, far too many of them around and considering his power, he was far too easy to use in ssf4
I think #30 has the right idea. If they already create new models for SF characters for SFxT, then a good amount of the work is done for adding them to SF4. You still have to do balance changes, move-sets, animations, etc, but a block of work is already done.

Balrog wasn't overpowered, there was no need to nerf him. It takes skill to be good. I'll try to get better with him, but at the moment he doesn't feel good. I was pretty good with the Ryu matchup and today I got bodied everytime. I couldn't even punish Ryu's hadoukens with my turn punch, that was a deadly weapon. I guess they decreased the revovery time on the hadouken.
Street Fighter 5 isn't coming in a long time, and ultimately, that isn't a bad thing. you wouldn't want the next game in the street fighter series to be incomplete or rushed. they can leave SFIV here at AE and focus on their current projects. it isn't like SFIV won't be being played for years to come, thinking of Street Fighter 5 is almost like thinking of Marvel vs. Capcom 4 at this point.
another version would uppset the part of their newbie fanbase that have somewhat of a brain, and the fightiing scene would be in the same place as 4 years ago, they should promote 3s online as much as possible in order to educate this horrible community

As much as I want them to go in and make changes to AE. I know they charge for it and I already decided not to give them any more money. No Karin still, too many nerfs and so little buffs. When you sit at the character select screen trying to choose a character like you are making a life decision, you know something is wrong.
Complete the line up, the character select screen feels like were missing out something. fill it we any 2 new characters..
at least well be happy waiting for sf5, even if it take years..
Sf5 i guess is for the eight generation consoles..
So it would take a lot of time..

they already said something about new characters in SFxT that werent in the sf4 series ... thats great news ... why ?
because the transition to the newer SF4 would be easy as the models would be done already .. lets say we get 2-4 extra in that game .. always a plus ...

EAGLE << ( for the love of god just bring him back hes an sf1 character .. as classical as sagat )
NECRO << (just cuz hes bizzare .. my type of character and 3s main)
TWELVE << (would like to see how they pull off the morph)
GILL << (cuz frankly ... seth is just so inferior.. even if the story doesnt fit .. when did it ever matter? we have oni for crying out loud )
add in elena, karin, rolento, hugo, alex and Q for everyone else and im a happy bunny

I would definitely keep paying for more SF4 characters. I can't say I have an interest in 3 online right now. I didn't play it then and would rather just keep playing SF4.
As for other fighting games, I plan to get MvC3 after the chocolate version comes out. That said, I have no interest in SFxT since it'll play similarly.

Revisit it as much as possible, thats what I say. Half of you bitched about AE yet everyones got it. #12 took the word right out of my mouth haha.
Street fighter 4.5... the game with fifteen new characters that's a prequel to SF5.
@everyone who is bitchin' - why are people upset? yeah they did it with sf2, but people still play that motherfu-ker. they still play it, and they loved it so much Capcom could make an HD remix and have no doubt people would snatch that up like free pizza. so no one can say that we don't like making the same game over and over with bonuses. fu-ck, this is what fighting games do. make basically the same shi-t, but with upgraded graphics, more balanced/tweaked gameplay, and more characters. the only thing ssf4:ae didn't have was upgraded graphics.
i mean, shi-t, KoF has 15 some iterations. the only difference between the first and the last is better looking with better controls and more characters. if this is something you don't like, find another gaming community. i'm sick of hearing everyone piss and moan when you know damn well that when the next installment in the sf4 series comes out, you're buying it, regardless of anything. and no one likes a ignorant hypocrite.
In other words, there's a new, even more rebalanced version coming out next year.

Start work on SFV.
But in the years that'll take to make, just keep adding to SFIV. More characters, stages and re-balancing. It would be nice to throw in completely new moves to some characters, just to get more people to play them and increase the variety.
Or maybe Capcom you could learn not to say anything at all until something has been permantly decided upon for you have a tendency to lie more than a convict in a Church when it comes to video games and I am certain that many people are tired of it all together.
I'm so sick of hearing about SF V_V. We have a perfectly good game in MvC3 just sitting out there and they refuse to touch it like it's the plague. I mean come on. I'd sooner take DLC and SMvC3 then just to shut it in a dark room, and say, hey we're just going to do SMvC3 ok? ok. No offensive to the great franchise that is SF, but god damn, enough is enough already.

I agree with others who've said that SF5 should be a long way away, save that for the next gen machines. SF4 is excellent and to talk of SF5 so soon seems too much of a 'rush rush next next go go go go' mentality.
I hope everyone buys AE and it does better than they hoped so they keep adding and developing SF4 for many years.
Tone down Fei & the twins, buff anyone who is still struggling down at the bottom of the tier lists, leave everyone else alone, this should be free dlc patches. Add in a couple more characters, 2 at least and then see how that goes and that should be cheap paid for dlc. Just don't do it as a whole new version of the game, that will just keep splitting the online community further and further.
Ay guys this conversation is getting out of hand. It's just an idea for godsake. Right now, let's just enjoy AE & MVC3 and hope that Capcom will realize that all they need to do for a buck is give us things we ACTUALLY WANT

I'd agree, but MVC3 is already played out. It's been three months since any worthwhile new stuff has come down the pass, the games already getting old, I already know fighting gamers that are trading the game in because there's nothing new coming and it's gotten old.

As far as ae just rebalance no new chars i havent bought ae and dont plan too ntil its balanced better.mvc got released this year give it a full year before whining.whats funny is there is alot of depth in these games alot of you guys just want something new for no reason when you have not fully explored or understand the games you have now.in japan they still play st garou um2002 vampire savior and others because the games are good.you can play for years and still find out stuff.

That's a comparison you can't make, because they are trading it in doesn't mean they don't like the game, but it's a matter of not having anything new for it. You say to look at MvC2. I'd bet if MvC2 was as widely spread and dispersed as MvC3 and had the option of online play and DLC and such, then this would be an issue there as well. As for 89, I'd give it a full year before whining about a SMvC3, but I don't think we should have to wait a year for DLC.
I would definitly buy another version of this game if it came out without a doubt, but im pretty sure a lot of people would not do the same. Although Id love it id would prolly be smarter to just move on to 5. Unless its free dlc of course :3
another SF4 game? this time they better add Alex and Rolento, Urien, Sean are needed too. Maybe by Halloween or Christmas but Capcom wants us to buy SF X Tekken first but if it's another SF4 gam they better have Alex, Rolento, Sean and Urien or else it will be a waste of time and I agree with #30 I bet they will recycle some of the new characters that they haven't annouced from SFvsT back to SSFIV defintely Alex is in that scenario

Add two more characters as DLC and then just wait with SF5 until the next console generation. It's only about two years until then anyways. Just add two characters AS DLC!
Or how about just move on to SF5.
