typical dumb blonde at the end, dont even know that dan has been officially disconfirmed, yet blabers out like she knows what shes talking about.
i dont see how that guy didnt catch that and say "say what, Jin?"
and why didnt he ask him will the tag team game be co-op friendly in the multilayer? meaning can i team up with my buddy against other 2 ppls?
but yeah JIN, good to know he's in it.
LOVE the game so far. keep chuggin and announce Heihachi already
Get Poongko to EVO by boat, plane, car, bike, bicycle, sled, tricycle, moped, train, jet-pack, rocket... just get him there!
As the guy who brought it up above me mentioned. Just look where Seth was positioned in the latest tier lists. Look where Fei is. Something doesn't add up, does it? Most Americans will whine and moan about their characters being nerfed and such, but it's the actual player who makes the character, not the other way around.
These tier lists will change over the coming months, for sure. Just stick with playing who you like. Don't pay attention to these pathetic tier lists.
I wonder if Arturo will quit moaning about AE now that he's seen Poongko's Seth in action? It takes great Japanese players to show the world how good a character can be. Just look at Sako's Ibuki the other day... Man, I've seen Ibuki's, but you haven't seen Ibuki until you've seen Sako's Ibuki.
Why do people think that an hour worth of matches between only two people mean anything for tiers at all?
@ DevinAmir1 #17
Why, do you think that you could beat Poongko's seth in a set lasting over 3 hours with your supposed 'top tier' Yun? Tut tut...
I'm just assuming that you would be using Yun. It doesn't really matter who you'd be using really, does it? You'd lose, wouldn't you?!
@16
I agree with 17 on here. The tier list is correct, but you're not reading it the way it's supposed to be read.
When it comes down to 1v1, it's not about a character's position on the tier list, but about the matchup between the two characters. Seth may be a bunch of notches below Fei, but the matchup is 6-4 in Seth's favor. Their final tally, 11-7 (1.57) almost perfectly reflects the 6-4 matchup (1.5).
The tier list is only the sum of all of your character's matchups, so when it comes to a fight between two characters you have to forget the tier list and focus on just that one matchup.
Caruga:
You state in 99% of the comments sections that you are NOT buying AE. Why do you keep posting about a game you don't even have.
You have also said you don't even have Super because you would NEVER buy a console to play a game.
You also would NEVER buy an alternate costume.
Hope your having fun with HD Remix - the game you say is the only game worth playing.
Final score is 20 to 19, in Mago's favor as noted from a trusted japanese website.
"but it's the actual player who makes the character, not the other way around."
Actually it's the player that makes the player. Just as the man makes the man.
You're right that some people get the relationship confused.
You're right if you think player knowledge, reflexes and intellect surmounts the barrier of playing an a character that is considered to be inferior, or _is_ inferior.
You're right if you think a workman should not blame his tools.
But that doesn't mean all tools are equal.
Why can't people just say that tiers (or rather, MATCHUPS) _and_ the player both factor in?
Why do people love to suck to one side and have an unbalanced view?
I don't get it. The truth is obvious.
Maybe it's because some characters _are_ underrated and need more work before they show how good they are? But, that's _still_ a property of the character. The player wins the credit for the discovery of new potential, but the character remains what it always was!
Two very scary creative players. Poongko leveled up severely. I wanna see him play that akuma player that raped him 10 games straight. Maybe he wasn't playing serious enough in those akuma matchs. Kinda sucks that his personality doesn't macth his level of play. Show some high level el fuerte matchs and eryu as well.
As to my opinion on this matchup--Seth is amazing in the right hands. He's like an Akuma but with weaker defense. The player gets a lot of the credit, for having amazing reads which is partly an ability to capitalize on matchup ignorance.
Don't get me wrong. Mago knew the matchup. But only the matchup against the established limit of what Seth was capable of (to know more than that would be a Seth mainer at the very least). Mago was ignorant of the matchup with the new established potential of Seth that Poonkgo had discovered.
Let's see them fight a year later and see how it plays out.
Mago singing along to the Russia stage theme is... lol
