Interesting. I would'nt get it but it looks okay i guess. Im just waiting for Asuka, Lili, T. Hawk and Elena to be announced
It's as if MadCatz gets really close to doing something cool and then just runs the other way. Haha...
Why oh why put ANYTHING on the face of an arcade stick other than six buttons? There is a good reason modders and builders such as myself PUT everything but the main six buttons on the sides.
Then why did they place that Turbo garbage right NEXT to the buttons?
Why did they include Turbo at all?
Why is the playing area sloped? Plexiglas makers tend to not cut custom Plexiglas covers for sticks shaped like this.
I really like all of my previous MadCatz sticks for the most part, but this really seems like a HUGE step backwards. Too bad. Maybe they will make some more positive adjustments on their following designs.
This is the MadCatz Tekken x Street Fighter Fightstick PRO.
Even from the size of it it's painfully obvious to see that this is the TE's replacement (note that the TE is actually out-of-production now).
As a player, I hate the TE's giant "slab" feeling, and much prefer the SE with its slope; this looks like it'll suit me much better.
As a modder, I can appreciate the gigantic art space to the left of the stick.
As a designer, I think I understand why they've moved all the controls to the right side of the assembly.
Overall, I'm gonna buy this as soon as it's out.
Over on SRK's Tech Talk Forum, Markman, (a Madcatz Rep) said "The design is not final. This was just a stick we had to show for this event (E3). "
So that's good news. Send him your ideas! I sent mine so for whatever community opinion may or may not be worth at least you can let him know what you might like to see.
So this is the new stick... Could use some more editing...
