Sorry im new to how ggpo works. Am i going to have to set up anything or will the xbox live just be lagfree?
("Set in a timeline after Street Fighter® IV, follow the next chapter in the epic Street Fighter universe."
Cool, they're setting up SFV!)
I still play this on my Dreamcast, I may well purchase this it's not too expensive. I can't help but wonder how my Elena will stand up against new school players.
@11:
SF3 was always the most recent era story-wise, this isn't news. They already said SF4 took place between 2 and 3 long ago. And Capcom wouldn't need to 'set up' a sequel. They just do them.
It's gonna be a looooooong time before we see SFV.
YouTube replay Sharing: Not only will players be able to watch local and global match replays in-game, but with a click of a button they can upload replays directly to YouTubeTM to share with the rest of the world.
This I'd want in AE more than anything.....sigh.
Do they have a good reason for rereleasing a game with virtually NO new content, just a bunch of artwork that they could have easily made available for free on their website?
The new content is the fact that you can play it online. Old versions like the one in Street Fighter Anniversary Collection don't have online support from the XBL network or whatever anymore, and from what I hear, the online play sucked because of lag anyway.
So they're making this for us to play. You don't like it, don't buy it. There's enough people on SSF2THDR and SSF4AE that you'll still have plenty of SF to play.
Incidentally, I hope this is successful enough for them to make a definitive version of Alpha 3 (or maybe even an Alpha 4, with Alpha 3's gameplay but set between SF4 and SF3), rebalanced to give all the characters a chance, and with redrawn sprites since the Alpha series didn't use as many frames of animation as the SF3 series did.
@24: It already had the exact same online play available for free, though.
@31: Yeah, fighting the 700 pound genetically perfected Emperor of the Illuminati. That's deep.
Getting the game for both Xbox Live and PSN. End of story.
