Early thoughts on Street Fighter X Tekken with Mike Ross

Mike Ross from the Cross Counter team went to E3 and got about an hour's worth of time in with Street Fighter X Tekken. After picking up multiple questions on Twitter, he shared these thoughts in video form on the game.

Damn!!! I'm so happy that he likes it. If he loves it, then I will definitely love. It looks great though so there isn't any reason why I wouldn't. I'm so glad the combos are similar to marvel. this is happy news!

i know im going to love this game :D the only problem is i hope tekken fans will be able to love it to. im a tekken fan too but im more of a sf fan, and im not saying this because i as a tekken fan want it compadible...no... im saying it because if a tekken fan picks up this game he will be able to stand on par with sf fans. you know so we can all love this game......and so if i beat a tekken fan they have no excuse :P

Since SFxT won't have the FA system, sounds like it's going to be more offensive. I wonder how many characters they plan to get in there...my guess is they first want to get all the world warriors in.

Cool. So it has a more marvelish kind of combo system but it still seems like a solid game. I'm looking forward to it!

No wonder SFxT combo system is more like MvC since its timing is much less strict than SF, just like Tekken combo system. Another proof that Capcom and Tekken staff are making sure that a lot of people can play this crossover.
So SFxT has the potential become as popular as SF4 did by successfully gathering the communities from both games.

And given the tag combos videos for E3, combo system with less strict timing surely doesn't mean that the game is less skill-demanding.
On the contrary as the reduced range of specials and ultras clearly show that fights will happen more at close range with launchers, just like Tekken style !

First of all I think Mike Ross is Great! That being said, he lost some respect points with this quick review.

I think you're taking that the wrong way. It was less a way of saying that it's 'Geez, another ABC Cookie-Cutter combo', and more of a way of saying that it's the beginning of everyone's basic bread and butter combo.

Ok, so I don't have a problem with that. If the game is fun, than it's fun! And I'm happy about that!

Just don't say it's the "Best SF you've played!", it's NOT SF MIKE! It's a VS game.

I'm still excited btw. I'm in on day one for SFxT.
