If you start Super Street Fighter 4 on Xbox Live, you'll be prompted to download a small update for the game. After downloading this update a message will appear on screen saying that the "SSFIV Update Kit" and "SSFIV Arcade Edition" are now available on the Xbox Live Marketplace, although if you look around these items are currently unavailable as of the time of this writing.

Well, i live in Europa and nothing of this sort yet happened, after i signed into SSF4. Guess than it's a region specific thing.

back in on of the more recent tourney justin and mike were on commentary and justin was talking about how karin was in and he wasnt faking also he said hes had his hands on sf5 but i highly doubt that to be credible but this makes it seem more and more real

@ 35, give it some time, more than likely the patch is just to ensure for AE since the point system will be reset on there, but if you're using Super, you should still maintain your BP and PP ranking. This will probably change after Arcade Edition DLC is released.

Yeah its on the marketplace now. Still downloading though so I can't confirm it works yet, shouldn't be too long until its 100% though then i'll let you know.
@viisii buying the disc should be the same as owning SSIFV and buying the DLC, so it depends whether or not you own SSFIV already. If you don't, buying the disc is better because it'll work out cheaper, but keep in mind the disc version comes out later.

Well I found some use in the "Update". Ibuki now has her after image thingy while she dashes lol. I guess they added that in.
@KaiUchiha66 Yeah I just hopped on and checked that, that's pretty neat. So regular SSF4 players do get SOMETHING in the update. :P I spent a few minutes trying to see if there were any other changes they sneaked into that tiny little patch but I couldn't find any.
