this is pretty ironic for me cuz a couple of days back i downloaded infamous for free from psn and as i was playing it i wondered how wud cole be as a fighting game character. and now a couple of days later he's announced for sf x tekken lol (although i dont think he fits into the game itself, it wud make more sense if he was in a mvc type game or something).
MK9 has kratos, SFxTK gets cole...seems like the new thing...i'm cool with it i preordered infamous 2 and cole could really fit into a fighting game, electric moves n stuff
still i rather wanna see the ps3 version of the game including raven and freakin heihachi

Uh guest stars in fighting games never make sense. They're all just cross marketing ploys. No need to get all butthurt. Did you all forget about Spawn, Link, Kratos, Darth Vader, Yoda, Starkiller in SC. That's the most random grouping of characters I can think of.
To those wondering yea PSVita is sony's new handheld.. looks pretty awesome too, touchscreen and all..

@38 Why should it be frustrating? I don't see it as either a bad or a good thing. The only reason why I think it is frustrating is because Cole's fan base isn't as large as they might think. Let them say "CLOUD FROM FINAL FANTASY JOINED TH FRAY" and people would be sh1ttin gold.

...wow. Can you guys just have a little fun for once? inFamous is great. Cole is a great character. He's going to be in this game, balanced as well as everyone else.
...and you're gonna complain about how he's "unworthy?" Wow. It's just another character. He's not part of the SF or Tekken franchises, so...you DON'T want him? As long as they're balanced, since when are new characters BAD? I guess he's slightly out of place considering he's a super hero, but that's like the people who complain about MvC sucking because Ryu could never beat up the likes of Galactus. It's a game, it's for fun.
If it were SF vs. inFamous and Jin was announced, would you get angry? If it were MvC3 and Batman was announced, would you get angry? Do you REALLY have to nitpick about a 3 way crossover? Come on, guys. He's a great bonus and anyone who says otherwise is legit being WAY too picky.

The idea of two truly great fighting game franchises being put together into one potentially great game is incredible-
but then the inclusion of a random character from a game that is not at all connected to the fighting games DIMINISHES the potential epicness of this game.
its the equivalent of having ali vs joe lois, but than introducing wayne gretzky to the fight.
also look at it this way- Cole is not coming to the game to make it BETTER- he is simply included to help sell infamous.
Talk about making the game look like casual bull**** by putting extra characters in an inferior version of the game, I thought only Namco did stupid **** like this. I was hoping this game would be as exciting for me as SFIV is, this greatly hurts the game imo.
How does it hurt the game AT ALL? Kratos is in MK and I see thats doing fine. You still have the option to pick ST or Tekken characters, it does nnothing to the game and you guys cant just wrap your minds ovr the fact that somebody invadd your precious game. Fighting game community doing what they do best when introduced to something new
It makes a difference in a crossover game. If he were put in an SF game, I would find it odd, but I'd live with it. I wouldn't even be upset But when you put him in a game in which there's a longtime rivalry between such huge series, it just feels wrong.
MK9 wasn't a crossover, so it didn't matter.

Thats the thing you got mixed up. ITS A CROSSOVER GAME. I would be upset if he was entering a game which he has no buisness being in. But in crossover games anything can happen. Kratos has n buisness being in Mortal Kombat. But I barely seen anybody complain about it as much as this.
By the way, I'm sure he'll be banned from tourneys, because of console exclusivity, so don't have your panties in a bunch. Like I'm sure Kratos is banned from MK9 tourneys.
It's another character, a fun and unexpected character, that brings something new to the table. If anything, the haters might really be Xbots that are jelly that again, the PS3 gets exclusive content. I have both consoles, but I'm sure you guys can guess which version I'm buying.
Well this was a surprise. I have the feeling this guy will be a broken character maybe. I do kinda feel sorry for X Box users missing out on these console exclusive characters but i mean really...who could represent for them in a fighting game? Besides the obvious Halo Spartan...
Also I really hope Capcom has more up their sleeve as far as this game goes...

looking at MK9, i don't think Microsoft are going to get anything, once again... I think Sony is trying to make their multiplatform games a little more "exclusive". I bet is shoryuken is in a UPROAR since they're website is full of elite pricks
I wasn't asking you to agree with me, and i'm sure they're more 360 owners there then PS3 owners on shoryuken, but I don't really care though, Cole being on the ps3 just seems like an added bonus to the ps3 guys. ITs like "Yeah its out of both systems... But This system has this while the other doesn't!" Which is always fine for the person who has said system...Not so much for the other guys.
Thanks to this vid, I'm completely losing my interest for SFxTK. The colors are still saturated, EX no longer serve as wildcards, the lightning effects on EX charge looks stupid, short throw closeups are nauseating to watch, and it's difficult to watch a health bar that camouflages.
I miss last year's Comic Con gameplay. I was so hyped then but now.....meh.
wow so much salt in here almost makes me embarrassed to call myself a hardcore fighting game fan, so what they added cole to the roster it's probably capcom's way of apologzing for the comment that christian svensson made during the psn outage and it would be even more awesome if nathan drake gets announced to the roster later on as well

i hope they put a mortal kombat character in sfxt for the ps3 or the 360. i mean, mabe thats why we saw ryu and kazuya standing on the game :) mabe the blurred pic wasnt rufus mabe it was scorpian :D

it's really too bad that they are putting work into a character that won't matter, outside of MAYBE online rankings... no matter how much people complain, that is just how it is.
Sony is really pushing Infamous 2. Free first game, now a cameo in SFXT. But I'm not hyped then again its a nice surprise.

As for Cole? Sony is the one who is paying them to make him, I'm fairly certain Capcom didn't call Sony and ask to put him in, they are receiving money for this. So for all you know his devolopment time is actually benefitting this game.
As for Xbox look at the system it has no iconic characters, when I think of Xbox I think of Master Chief. And the muscle bound guy from Gears. No one else comes to mind, Xbox doesn't have any exclusive characters that represent them. So don't hate on Sony for coughing up the money to help sell the game on their own console lol

Sure Cole was unexcepted add to the game (espically this seeing how its a crossover) but its not that deep.I bet if was Gambit from X-men or Strider Hiryu that made the unexpected cut instead of Cole. Also food for thought. I bet all of the complainers forgot that article from Capcom while developing MvC that they wanted to make a crossover game with more then just two companies. This is just the first step

For a second I thought this was an April Fools joke. This is SFxT, not SFxTxInFamous. This game has been a dream match-up for me and to see this random character pop up for NO reason (seriously, who wanted a non-SF or Tekken character in this?) is just TERRIBLE. Capcom F****D up big time, imo. I can only hope he's exclusive to the Vita version, so I can stay the F**K away from that version.

Ever since I first played Tekken, I've been hoping for a crossover with Street Fighter. Both series have fantastic characters and to see what boils down to an in-game ad for the inFamous series in this game instead of one of those great SF or Tekken characters just disappoints me so much. Still hoping very hard he won't show up in the PS3 version.
I was never interested in SFxT but if they put Cole on the PS3 version then I'm buying. Period. I love infamous.
A handheld manages to do something the 3DS hasn't, bring FULL fledged next gen games to pockets, and people find complaints? I mean if handheld gaming isn't your thing that's understandable but this is interesting as a platform. Also Infamous is a fun game, cool a bonus character, nothing to cry about.
if cole is on ps3 then alex mercer or the new dude from prototype 2 should be on the 360
