A couple more images of Street Fighter 3 Third Strike Online Edition were posted on the web recently. The first shows the 'cover' art for the game, although this is a digital only release. Also, there's a few images of the title screen.

Chun Li is the face of Street Fighter 3 if you forgot. Remember she was the new character in the SF3 series as well as most demanded.

Pro: That cover art looks pretty sharp, and chun li is looking like CHUN LI. Not overly colorful. Puts mvc3 and sf4 series boxart to shame.

Cons: Poor alex(the main character of this series) isnt on the box at all, and they made sure not to throw any exclusive character to 3s on the box art at all(makoto,ibuki,yun are all included in sf4 series now) Guessing they remember how all the new zanny characters made folks second guess the game.

Capcom said "Where keeping the hardcore fans in mind" I see characters that are in IV. The only people on that cover should be. Alex, Sean, Remy, Urien, Necro, Twelve, and Oro. 3rd Strike EXCLUSIVE characters.

Alex really should have been the cover-man because he's the poster boy for SF3. Having Chun just adds to the stereotype of 3s just being Chun, Yun and Ken.

Stupid decision. How is Alex not on that cover? Most people haven't played SFIII, so how is anyone gonna know it's a different game without him?

If you need a hook, sure, throw in an old favorite, but show that character FIGHTING with Alex at least. And if anyone, it should be Ryu, not Chun-Ky.

Necro, Oro , Q, Twelve look more like they should be in Darkstalkers then Street fighter.

Remy looks like an SNK character.

Though I agree that Alex should be somewhere on the cover, he is the main character in SFIII.

It looks nothing like Chun-Li, Chun-Li is Chinese as far as i know,
that cover art is nothing but a COSPLAY.
Whoever drew that image/art does have impressive skills no doubt but that's not Chun-Li,
that's nothing more than a north American looking chick dressed as her.

The cover's center should of had the classic picture of Alex holding his bandanna, and looking down at it. In the background, there should of been a faded-out Gill with his arm extended out, hand open. Then, unfocused from the center around the cover should have Ryu and Ken, with Oro watching over Ryu and Sean closer to Ken, Elena Ibuki and Makato, Remy in a typical sad looking position with Q and a posing Hugo (possibly with Poison by him) , Yun and Yang with Chun-Li above and centered with them. On the top but unfocused, close to the corners would be Urien and Akuma. bottom corners would have Necro and Twelve. Thats how the Cover should be.

If you look at many 3S covers and promos, Chun Li is typically one of, if not the main focus.

Chun was one of the biggest and most attractive additions to the SF3 series as 2nd Impact and New Generation didn't have her. In keeping with this, She is the face of 3S OE promo. She's also the character to beat.

LOL, these justifications for making Chun-Ky the focus are absurd. She's not even the best character in this game. Yeah, she was a big deal when the game first got released, but there's no point anymore when the whole series went unnoticed for more than a decade. If this was a triple pack with all three SFIII games, I wouldn't have any issue with this cover as it wouldn't be the only one. Now they're just whoring her fat ass out.

The face of SFIII as a whole (Alex) and the face of SF in general (Ryu) are more presentable to casuals than the meaningless face of 3S. "Look kids, it's Chun-Li, the biggest addition to the game you've NEVER played!" Yeah, good marketing pitch.

By the way, Alex was the face of SFIII, Hugo was the face of SFIII 2nd Impact, Chun Li was the face of SFIII 3rd Strike.

It makes sense to put Chun Li on the cover, it's HER GAME!

The series is still new to people. Give them the character the series belongs to.

OMG! Everywhere, EVERYWHERE I GO I just don't see other thing than complain. First of all Chun Li IS the main point on this game, not only because she was the "most demanded" but story-wise she takes the big role by being the one to fight Gill, Alex was the main in the first two, but not in this one, he was way too busy getting his ass kicked by Ryu.

What better way to promote 3rd strike than to not feature its unique characters, or main for that matter. Feels like chaos legion all over again, "if u like SF4 you'll love this game". Yeah, chun li is the face of sf3, that's why she was only in one of them.

i would have preferred an alex/gill or alex/hugo cover. it is good art though, better than sfhd/mvc2/mvc3/sf4 cover.

@39- You don't know WTF you're talking about man. Chun-Li NEVER fought Gill. She just won some little girl back because Urien was too stupid to finish her off in a fight.

3S was nothing but an epilogue. The whole series is still about Alex. Nothing changes that, not even losing to Ryu. Get over it.
