yeah, this and Flash Metroids Iron man make a pretty compelling argument.
I've always thought Iron Man had the weirdest normals in the game. This video is blowing my mind. I just wasn't using them right. Now he seems to be the Vega of MvC3 with his cr.M looking and acting like Vega's cr.MK and cr.MP with the claw. Nice stuff.
so the intro and the credits have to be an hour a piece but the text cant stay up for more than a millisecond. the font made it hard to read too.
but i dont enjoy complaining. the video had great stuff in it. i like the concept of proving people wrong. he looks fun. i would pick him up if he didnt make my team look like a complete rip off of GimpyFish's
Yeah enjoyed the information but I feel the video is a distraction due to the over editing. Most people just care about the information. They don't care too much about the flash, most people here are smart enough to pick apartthe information without the flashy tranc editing.
Also text could be on screen longer. Other than that the information is solid and some things I never knew about Iron Man are in it.
I was a little sad my favorite character to use wasn't pulling a lot of weight on my team once the meta got higher. This video gives me renewed hope even though I am still stubborn enough to play Iron Man regardless.
If Lord of the Rings or the Matrix movies had a credit scroll speed like this movie, it'd last 10 years.
One thing of note, Ironman's Proton Cannon is deceptive in it's startup speed. What many people don't know is that there are startup frames that get to super pause, and then startup frames from super pause to active hitting frames (this is why there are two numbers listed in the MvC3 strategy guide for supers for startup frames).
Proton Cannon functions a bit differently from other supers in that the formation of the cannon can hit you before the gun starts firing. Most people may know this already from previous vs games, but may not realize that it takes Ironman only 3 frames to hit you.
Compare this with any other super you consider as fast hitting. You'll see that this is insanely fast.
One of the practical applications for this is it gives Ironman a virtually guarunteed counter after succesfully blocking any meelee move when X factor is considered.
Some people may have noticed that when they try using X factor to cancel their gaurd stun, they still get interrupted if they did it in the middle of a blocked chain.
Proton Cannon solves this issue with its 3 frame startup (possibly even faster since you just X factored). If you look at frame data on normals, you'll see that the fastest normals in the game (light attacks) are still 3 frames themselves.
The final thing about Proton Cannon is, the cannon itself hits you before you get the super pause frames. This means you cannont counter super in the super pause frame window which you would do normally since the Proton Cannon has already hit you.
