Both teams look sick, hopefully viscant and champ aren't both running pheonix teams. I don't like masta cj on the east coast team though. I would have perfered josh Wong, or yipes. Hopefully east coast takes it though, Chris g as anchor? Hope so :)

@10 Just curious, have you even seen Masta CJ play or know who he is?

Because if you did you'd know he's one of the most consistent players on EC. He just won an 8 on the break tournament the other day placing ahead of Marlinpie and Chris G who got 2nd and 3rd respectively.

If there's anyone on that team you should be weary about is PR Rog as we havent seen much of him in MvC3 lately (not to say he was a bad pick though)

I'm not hating on anyone on this list because I like them all and they are definitely all way better than me, but I personally feel this is pretty 1 sided. I really don't know how east coast would win if it was just any 2 from west coast vs 5 east coast. I'd probably switch out Masta CJ and MarlinPie. I love watching MarlinPie, but against that whole west coast team I don't see him beating any of them in a 1v1 best 2/3 same with Masta CJ. Is Noel Brown from east coast? Cause I think his Wolverine/Wesker/Akuma is pretty solid. Maybe RyRy too

@18 Nah I didn't catch that, but thanks for the heads up. I just don't really see MarlinPie or Masta CJ make is as far as the others in the major tournaments. I'm aware than Chris G, MarlinPie, and Masta CJ are practically the face of the jaxel stream, but I guess where I'm coming from is that they don't have as much competition as compared to the west coast so its hard for me to compare

I don't live in the states and it's pretty clear that West Coast has a way better team. I'm pretty sure any pair of players in WC would beat the whole of EC given a proper set.

Its not like viscant teams are all about phoenix , u got to deals with his wesker first.To my mind, on the paper west is definetely better, maybe 3 of the best world player are in west team(jwong,combofiend,viscant), but everything can happen in MAHVEL thats why we love that game so much.

Marn gets bodied too much. FChamp is actually pretty good at MvC3.

And there is no Dhalsim, but there is a Dormammu...

I 100% agree with #30!!! The reason why I'd pick Viscant over Clockwork and Filipino Champ is because if you took out phoenix from all their teams, Viscant probably has the better duo and is harder to break because of his dam wesker. Clock's doom/ammy is just pure entertainment when he gets a hit, but I feel he lacks a little on the defensive aside from him being the best ammy to use counter. Champs magneto/dorm isn't really that complementary of a duo. Also if they traded out anyone for Marn, then the whole match up would be much more balanced and more exciting, I still say its a one sided battle in favor of the west coast

@#10 yeah I've seen him play and to be honest I've never really been impressed, I like his Dorm though. But I think Josh Wong or yipes would be much better qualified. But noooo Pr rog is probably 2nd best on team Ec. They should run him on point.

I can't believe all you west coast ball sniffers think this will be free. Half of you must not watch east coast streams if you don't think Masta CJ will wreck house. Combofiend and Justin are the only real threats on the west coast team. Floe is a choke artist, and Viscant and FC will get blown up by Marlin Pie. His anti Phoenix straights are too good.

Not to mention none of them know how to play against Viper considering all west coast knows is She-Hulk and Phoenix. And FYI it's round robin everyone will play everyone, so stop talking about anchors and starting who first because it doesn't matter.

I'm not even from east or west coast, I'm smack dead in the middle, and in no way am I'm biased. It's just people claiming that west coast is stacked without acknowledging that east coast is too is really annoying.

Since its Mvc3 I think that the ones who are best at getting that first hit will usually end up winning. I don't doubt the amount of damage that any of these players can do or even drop their combos, but I think the west coast is much better at getting that first hit which usually eliminates the ability for people like MarlinPie's viper or Masta CJ's magneto. I think Chris G is the best on the east coast at getting in on someone and actually getting some combos off, but I feel his combos aren't damaging enough and he relies on too many mix-ups which is fine against the majority of players he'll ever have to play but against this west coast team I don't think its going to cut it. I also think Phoenix can jump out of the focus trap if she gets snapped in

Wait who's Masta CJ again? He's not that kid from Florida with the awesome Fei Long, is he? I probably would have swapped him out for Flash Metroid or Twisted Jago or even Demon Hyo.

But considering WC has 2 Phoenix teams, JWong and Combofiend, I'm gonna have to go with West Coast on this one. It's pretty stacked.

First off I never agreed with Nerdjosh being the captain. They should swap him and CJ out with Josh Wong and Andre then maybe east coast would have had a chance. Now we're just going to get bodied.
WNF should have been a sign of things to come; the east coast captain getting double jeopardy'd out by someone who wasn't even selected for the west coast team. Granted it was in GF but you know he wouldn't have made it that far if the rest of the West coast killers was there, even if he always hovers around top 3, WNF isn't a major.
They're all great players that I can't touch and have much respect for. But this is like sports to me and I want my team to win. Just because I'd argue that Ray Ray is a better linebacker still than Urlacher, doesn't mean I'm trying to run up the middle against them.

At first I thought ''Pff West coast has this'' than I thought to myself and was like..''Pff west coast has this'' BUT!..lol, East coast doesn't have bad players either.

Master CJ is the beast Dormammu player if I remember correctly, marlin pie the insane Viper, Nerdjosh is cool got third a few times, PR Balrog is..PR Balrog but not sure how his marvel game is, and Chris G is crazy/

Although.. West Coast has this. Combofiend imo is the craziest Marvel player that doesn't use Phoenix, Viscant is amazing, Justin wong is justin wong. They dont even need more.

Marlin didn't do to well, PR didn't do as good as Justin and the rest, CJ I dont know much of, etc.

MarlinPie just bodied Chris G's team (in which he almost beat justin wong with)to hell. Marline Pie doesnt have bad defense, he doesn't block because he thinks Marvel is an offensive game but he def. will be blocking at EVO. Masta CJ bodied Chris G and Marlin Pie in countless east coast tournaments. If you get off Justin, Vincant, and Combofiend's sausages you will see that there are other great MVC3 players. I love the whole west coast team but def. do not sleep on the east coast team. Go to Youtube and look at some Chris G vs Marlin Pie or Chris G Vs Masta CJ matches. YOU WILL BE SURPRISED! O YEAH AND PHEONIX WILL NOT WORK ON MARLIN PIE, HE HAS SOME CRAZY TECH. FOR HER!

Now that it's all said and done though, glad to see Marlin get a win for East Coast. Anyone else agree that it went too fast? It was like a half hour and done. It should have felt like a mini tournament. I think they should have run sets. Or everyone gets 3 games. Each game is a point.
