AndriaSang put up a couple of articles talking about Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 this morning, from Famitsu magazine. So how did Capcom go about selecting the fighters? For the Marvel side, the selection was made based off the opinion of Marvel. To make up for this, characters from the Capcom side were selected based off fan and staff desire.
There are a number of other changes on the way aside from the new characters. As detailed last week, the game's online play is getting a much requested viewing mode. The staff is also reducing lag and speeding up matching.
Capcom has no excuse for poor netcode in the first one. But if they release a decent incentive for people who bought Fate of Two Worlds to buy Ultimate I might consider picking it up.
I blame everyone's "poor netcode" issues on not properly setting up their connection. MVC3 requires all ports to be open properly, between both the host and the client.
I've played plenty of matches against a friend of mine nearly lag free....4000 miles away...on a different continent.....
There are too many crappy network connections in America anyway, with kids playing online while their network is on full load with family members streaming, web surfing, and causing those lovely lag spikes that seem to aggravate the most out of a person compared to any other game genre during online play.
Lol, some ignorant mess right there. Hundreds of offices in a very widespread area were without power for quite some time, or shut down power to let the little bit generating go to necessary services (ie square-enix was out of commission, then when some power was on, they waited and let more important services suck up the electricity before the grid came back on.)
Even if capcom dev offices weren't directly effected, there're things like....family living elsewhere.
If a bunch of southerners a thousand miles away got up in arms and raging when the twin towers were hit a few miles away from me, I'm pretty sure a much smaller country is going to be more directly affected by multiple reactor meltdowns, flooding...you know.

not to say he isn't trolling, but it really isn't a new thing, them doing this with the expansions.
So wait... what disaster did I miss that caused SSF4 to happen. I'm use to Capcom's lame excuses but this is a bit much. I'm aware of the seriousness of that earthquake, but it seems too much of a coincidence for them to use that as a means to do a re-release... again.
: im not gonna buy it, i might buy it if they do x" So dont buy it. Make your lil stand. Just please stop posting this every damn time. Plus chances are you will buy it. I hate the twins, but i dont give a damn I bought A.E and Im sure as hell gonna buy UMVC3. Its only 40 dollars. Dont go out drinking one night, for me its worth it
" not :... what a typo lol And yea I think a earthquake is a pretty damn good reason.
U guys do realize the game has to be finished by August 15th right?
Remember? Gone Gold = 3 months of untouched product.
If you REALLY want to request ANYTHING...NOW IS THE TIIIIIME!!
i wish they would add menu button mapping. i got too used to L H P1 and i am never going to change. I dont know
M S P2 how many others feel the pain of playing with
playing wit friends when you play different
controls and have to switch all the time.
dont mind my attempt at showing you my controls lol but basically my buttons are different.

@#23/24
yea i understand your pain on that, too used to zigzagging with the magic series on a 6 button layout. Sounds like your set up was:
L H A1 top row
M S A2 bottom row
i Still do the same for my pad set up i cant get used to how playing on pad it kinda goes around in circles on the face buttons which endless confuses me as TvC did the same thing to me. Yea my friends get a bit flustered when i go for a button change when there is about 6+ of us in the room. Since the lack of a spectator mode we have to find a way to group up to get some decent sessions in so that we ALL can watch. We dont have mics either so online+mvc3= a no go
Will Jill and shuma be on the disc itself or do you have download them like in vanilla mvc3, cause I shelled out $10 to download them and I'm going to be pissed cause I coulda used that to buy something else
@16
Hey, I'm not even mad that they did this. $40 is cheap considering the $60 u would had spent on 12 dlc characters (assuming u want them all). But I'm not the least bit surprised either. I'm sure they were personally affected but this kind of thing has become standard procedure for them. I can't wait for them to announce that super SFxTK.
if so and it is 80% done and most games take two years atleast. even though givin there just using an existing structure. they never had plans to do anything with mvc3 at all. thats full final version besides the weak dlc with event and shadow modes. if umvc3 never was produced marvel vs capcom would have been silenced with this itteration. and would have been capcoms biggest let down imo. although its lookin that way anyways.
There. There's your reason as to why Capcom pulled a Super Street Fighter IV with this. How many of you are still going to cry about it now?
$40 and a rebalance would be cool if the characters were good, but they're NOT. The Marvel characters are complete crap.
Lol the game was 60% done when MvC3 was released and it's gonna be 80% done when UMvC3 is released... Guess we gotta wait for Super UMvC3 AE for a 100% complete product ;)
lol @ 37
The title makes it seem as if UMvC3 is 80% of the complete Capcom MvC plan.
MvC3 was only 60% this is 80% and the next with Gene, Cyclops, Nico and Mega-Man is gonna be maybe 90% complete
I thought this was common knowledge by now.. well, except for the 80% part. I guess I just assumed it already.
